  1. Grant says the major reason for caps in this country is lack of capacity between NZ and the rest of the world. If you are in the rest of the world, especially in countries like the USA or UK, a large amount of their data is transferred from within that counrtry, keeping speeds up and costs down so they don't need to put data caps on. Almost all of our data has to come in through our connections to other countries, which causes congestion and makes costs high. Data caps are a way of limiting data downloaded by large users which keeps the price down for lower users. Once we get more fibre connections to the rest of the world, a very expensive thing to do, data caps will eventually disappear because of the increase in capacity. We are a small country with few people to pay for the infrastructure, hence the high costs. We also have very difficult terrain to get the data through.
  2. I will require at least one piece of pumpkin pie (daily) thank you  Grant says he just wants pudding - the stodgier the better :bounce:
  3. I did an article in the latest AW on that very subject Ira! Apparently it is a common allergy.

  5. When my son kept them he only ever fed them earthworms but we didn't have any fungal problems as a result.
  6. Hi and welcome. Just don't try to breed the Malawis with the axoltls
  7. I think a lot depends on where you live. There were complaints about the cost of dentistry in NZ on TV the other night but the prices people said they were quoted were not anything like I have experienced. My root canal was around $800 from memory a few years ago. It is suggested you shop around and get quotes - or go overseas to have it done
  8. Grant probably refers to me as his dragon (I don't think the bearded bit comes into it yet)
  9. Hmmm my friends and family joke about the nmber of carrots I eat on a daily basis 8)
  10. I'm afraid not. It was too expensive to have them fitted

  13. Perhaps it isn't the frogs chirping but the sound of the crickets echoing off the stomach lining
  14. My daughter is the one on the left end (as you view) next to Willie Wonka. It was school Book Week and the teachers all dressed up as you can see (if I put the right link in).

  18. I have 2 tanks of them. One for me, and one I am babysitting the occupants until conference. Interestingly, the fish in my tank are breeding regularly, the ones in Marty's tank are not :-?
