i have male Aphyosemion bivittatum i have them on hold for alan at the moment until he lets me know how many he wants , have a look around at the shops because mine have only started showing signs of being males in the last week so there will be more.

they are lovely little fish and we sell lots of them and are always after them, most of the shops up in auckland sell them fast, they are cheep but you can sell a few 100 at a time so you can make some good money on them if you can breed lots.

if you look at the photo you will see that the other fish have alot of blue on them so the fish are not as bright as they look!!! a good trick :lol: rams dont live long as it is and these things :-? wouldnt live long because they are mutant!!!! i cant see them coming into nz any time soon.

welcome your cobalt gouramis is it a dwarf or the normal? if its a normal the male has a long top fin and the girls top fin is shorter and round. if its the dwarf the girls are silver in colour. what kind of filter do you have? some need wekly cleaning others dont need to be touched for 6months -18months look forward to seeing you round and remember everyone has been in your shoes so ask lots of ?'s

thats great also us the jbl pleco chips if you can, they are great and you can keep them in for 24hrs if you have to (thats if they dont get eaten before that)

they also stopped bring them in because a few shops had problem with them, the first few lots that cam in really are good but after that they had more come back than they liked so they stopped selling them , that and the price was so high

well the male is sitting on eggs again its great timing as now i can bring some of my older ones down to the fish show for the auction

i have sold about 20 black arowana they are so cute and are nice because they dont grow as big

are you keeping them out side? i had frogs when i had my fish pond, they are nice the only thing is they will eat the eggs if your gold fish breed

do as it says on the bottle , but i would use white spot cure its much better and if they get it bad you can use it 3 days in a row

haha yes it was a long day .... the smell comes out if you put them in warm water (you only need a small amount of water )

they have freeze dried bloodworms and if you put them in a glass of warm water the small comes out so in the mean time if you cant get your hands on any frozen for that should help (fingers crossed you dont have to)

ok this is how it stands today!! i talked to kongs and they have had meeting after meeting about this and have given them a week to let them know what they are going to do, the rule was just re writen and kongs have a shipment that maf are holding at $100 a day. what has been said is that new zealand is now the only country in the world not allowed them, kongs have there big wigs from aussie over here fighting for us all!! if we dont get what we want in a week a petition will be put in every shop!! and yes i think if the fed could get behind it that would help!! but wait and see what the week brings.....

i will let you no everything i find out!! yes the fed might beable to help. but i think if we start petition's up then that could help, i think i might make some phone calls today and see what Davey kong (owner of kongs) thinks about the idear.

so far they havent stopped the sale of other frozen food but brine shrimp is about the only one that is imported now.

its all imported and kongs has sold ou as well as most of the wholesalers , i phoned to get some today and got told that i cant get any . pijac is looking into it so fingers crossed they can do it or i think us shops will have to get every customer to sign a petition!!! i mean whats next they will stop the importing of fish!!! and it has been talked about , someone has a witch hunt going for people that like animals.

bloodworms are no longer going to be sold in nz if maf have their way!!! they have stopped them from being brought into nz already!! so buy up on bloodworms if your fish live off them, because the wholesales are out and so are most of the big shops. this isnt a joke its for real!!
