Canister at home i use Under Gravel in my shop and inside ehiem filters in some tanks as well. oh and a canister on my display tanks

CatBrat im working sat and sunday this weekend 9am to 12.30 come an have a look at my set up. i have been playing around with set ups and i know why you have been losing your babies, i set up a tank and put some babies in the tank and i lost 4 of them in a few days , i never lose them the other way i have them set up, so i have put a breeding box inside the tank with the babies as i think they need food in front of them all the time or they starve, i have food in the tank 24hrs a day and do lots of water changes

yes they are hard but touch wood i havent lost a batch yet. i am writing my info down for the aquarium world mag so if you are a member of a club you will get a full run down of how i have breed so many. if not join a club or you can buy the mag . first off catbrat come over and see how i have my tanks set up, i have eggs that will be hatching today. -water temp about 25-26 -ph 6.5-7.1 -good water flow in tank , i have a power filter and a filer oh and an under gravel filter in my tank. -i use jbl discus cone for breeding mine in , i put some gravel in and they love it. -feed them well i use jbl plecochips -small water changes often , every few days, but i use water from my plant tank when i put the new water in that should get them breeding when they have breed get back to me and i will tell you how to grow the babies up

livebearer_breeder chill a bit you have to remember alan and alot of people on here have had fish for years and years so he was round when the book first came out, and alan is much like myself read the books did what they said , tried our own ways and some times they work some time they dont but we learnt and now keep fish , breed fish and live for fish . in the old days filters, water and info wasnt that good now we can do so much more with the tanks than ever before

up date; on the 10th of this month they breed for the 5th time, about 50 babies then on the 30th they did it again so i have 100's of babies. have sold out of bigger ones so will have more for sale in 3 weeks

thats the great thing about catfish most get on , and if anyone stresses about the spelling they can go jump this site is for people to learn and also talk to people about the same things your into fish not to bi**h about what you look like or how you spell something so chill out

DONT MIX MEDS!!!!!!! If you have started with spot off use that but catch the fish and take it out of the water (for only a min ) and put spot off on his mouth! do it twice a day for a week and treat the tank as on the bottle. never mix meds ! melafix is the only safe one you can mix if you dont no what your doing.... oh and have the temp at 26-27 if you have it to hot it will grow faster fingers crossed

most good shops dont stock fish like that and wouldnt we hate painted fish even more :evil: :evil:
