  1. That is amazing. Also, lol at the "turkey" form.
  2. Isn't 88 associated with the doings of the Nationalsozialisten party?

    Eggs = Babies

Kribs bread easy. And are also good parents. I had a pair years ago, and they bred. 2 babies survived as there were angels in the tank. What else is in your tank? With kribs, all I suggest is making sure you have enough small food for the babies. -ps. You also posted this in the wrong section. Kribs are cichlids. not anabantoids.

    lf ideas

I quite like the idea of a lot of apistos, although the mix of colour might be a bit messy. I like frontosia quite a lot too. Personally I don't like africans that much, and although you might be able to fit a lot of africans in that tank, too many might make the tank end up looking smaller. Angels would be nice. Proper angels, not the cheap looking kois and marbled ones With a large tank like that, you have heaps of options and also potential for a LOT of hiding spaces - which means more territories etc. You could get large plecos which not too many people have because of space needed. Arowana. Larger agressive SA cichlids. (I'm already thinking about how I would scape that tank  ) I shall stop now.

    LF rocks

Try a landscaping shop. They sell rocks usually, cheap as.
  6. Kayne West (ft. Kid Kudi) - Welcome to heartbreak
  7. scarlet pleco. pretty sure thats what organism has.
  8. It sounds like such a readily available product, but this ... sand... is very elusive. No idea where to get it in chch, seen a few posts about how people can't find it in auckland, so Good luck! The warehouse/bunnings/mitre10 stock other daltons products, so its worth a look there (others around the place too). HTH
  9. It is not straight val. I can tell you that now. Not sure if you can get it here. I remember a previous mention of this plant in a earlier thread though. HTH
  10. Since they're spawning so often, it should be easy to sex them. Female should be fatter and I'm pretty sure the vent is longer on the female.
  11. Thats quite cool! Realistically I'd like a large, very clean 7 or 8 ft x 3 x 3ft SA tank. If I end up super rich, It be awesome to have a pond like thing inside the door to the house (foyer?) and then have a viewing room from below that.
  12. I could be wrong, but I think Sagittaria and java fern can. Maybe moss? Can't remember.
  13. Boiling at 100*C will destroy the bacteria almost instantly. Pretty much they start dying up around 70* but that will take longer. I usually biol the water, then let it sit in the put for about 10 seconds before I move on to other pieces.
  14. As per title. Does anybody know any good beaches around the place that have a good amount of interesting driftwood? I live out sumner way if that helps.
  15. But that is DEFINITELY the best part!! Also, welcome.
  16. 1: Looks good. 2: I like the idea of the plant on the right 3: Something long like vallisneria would look good behind the big clump of wood - too bad its illegal. Stupid laws.
  17. Not sure, was considering getting some to use for the top shelf on my tank stand. Light it up for a plant or something.
  18. Considered it. It'd have to be 1 BIG A$$ eruption to 1, break through the waters surface, and 2, hurl rocks etc over the port hills. Not saying its impossible, just if if it had that much pressure built up, it would have blown after the first shake.
  19. Cleaned up the tank a bit today, and re-arranged the LHS again. I built a sort of terrace with rocks and wood and planted a plant there. I got some oak leaves to test with and I quite like the way it looks. Thats pretty much all there is too it. Heres some pictures.
