  1. Yay I can finally help someone :happy1: I have the exact same tank, its the vista, very nice tank I fill it so that if you look at it at eye level then the water is right at the black part of the lid. So where the glass ends is basically up to where I fill it. If you are talking about airpockets that float around in the tank underneath our big container which houses our filter media then I solved that problem by turning the head which spouts the water so that it goes out straight ahead or to the side nearest to it. If it shows towards the middle of the tank then it creates these airpockets which occasionally creep till the end of the container and then pops. Hope that helped you edit to add I will look for a pic of mine to show you Found one I fill it to where the glass ends if you look from the outside, see which side my filter thingy is pointing that prevents the air pockets
  2. Dad came to eat some Zuchini he prefers that over pumkin, although his kiddies love the pumkin and not so much the zuchini. They are growing so quick, some of them are almost 4cm though most of them are still 3cm. I will sell them once most of them are 4cm edited to add sorry about the pink red line, my camera is old and needs replacing
  3. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Chch-earthquak ... 318234.htm Just saw this on trademe, hope it can help someone
  4. I used to name my fish, but ever since a heater mailfunction and monster, baby, lady, angel and valentine got cooked I just can't name them. It seems to hurt less if I don't name them and they die. But there is the occasional one that creeps into my heart. I have one guppy her name is miracle. She was found weeks after I got rid of all the guppies in my tank when I did a filter clean up. She was amongst many of her dead siblings so hence the name miracle. I have my big girl she is my biggest bristlenose female and then My big boy, you guessed its my big bristlenose boy. I also call her and him my "meisiekind" and my "seuntjie" which is just the afrikaans for girl and boy

  9. Instead of starting a new thread, I will just ask you guys here. How big should the babies be before I can house them successfully. With me living in Beachlands they will have to do some travelling when their owners come and pick them up, and do you guys think that two dollars for one is reasonable?
  10. Thanks Phoenix, they are the cutest little ones so far, very active and only 2 deaths and it was when my tank went up to almost 30 degrees that one hot day On another note Here is the daddy, got a nice pic of him Everytime I see him, I thank Snowman for him

  13. Still not sure how many there are, they are never all out at the same time, lots hiding inbetween the plants and rocks and underneath the driftwood. I would probably esitmate about 60 to 80. My first batch was 80 so probably closer to 80. They are very active little things too sorry about the video footage from about 1:08 but my camera is seven years old and not of the best anymore, need to get a new one
  14. Rabbit or Mr Pleco, how much longer should I wait before taking them out and photographing them again for you guys to see if that one is female or not? My other thread got deleted so I am not sure whether you answered there or not

Its their house and they are just moving their furniture around a bit :nilly: But I know how you feel, my big bristlenose male is forever digging holes everywhere, and every now and then I see his tail sticking out and twitching just so often and then I know the silly guy got stuck while shifting his furniture around
  18. So I need to get them some females or swap one for a female before they start fighting, so far they are bestest friends and share the same hide outs and everything
