  1. well done I will wait for the pics :spop:
  2. You persuaded the parentals to let you have another tank eh? What plants are you going to have? It sounds like you are brewing a high tech master plan.
  3. It sounds like it isn't permanent, just the scales healing themselves if that's a suitable explanation. Where I figure that from is because 2 of my killies had a scrap that I missed seeing but it looked like they had either brushed against each in the opposite direction roughly, or rolled in the gravel or against the driftwood. Each of them had a patch on the side that was white-ish where the scales had been sticking out and no killie-colour. After about 3 weeks in solitary confinement they had all healed and colour returned as normal.
  4. shall we adjourn this discussion to your tank thread, I wish to know more about said purchase :smln:

Very tranquil, when can we come and visit? or am I the first to fall for the trick... don't tell me, it's a miniature bridge, only 50cm long in one of your nano tanks :sml1:
  7. ah yes but work overtime now and they'll just expect it from you later. :-? In any case he won't be earning mere peanuts as an architect so I doubt money will be a problem 8)
  8. well you never know. One year I asked for a desk and got a desktop organiser :-? Your brother must have exploded at the sight of all that cash :sml1:
  9. There is no need to kill yourself for the sake of a company that grinds it's workers into the ground, especially if you are away from your friends and family at the same time and getting little reciprocal lovin' for yourself. Just because you are young doesn't mean you don't deserve a life outside work. I think people should learn to live in the moment a little more instead of continually striving for the next best or biggest whatever, makes for a happier person on the inside. Better to learn it young than when your own kids have grown up and you wished you spent more time with them.
  10. Josh, my husband wants to know if your brother got his pizza sticks and 2 $20 notes for his birthday. 8)

Yes I have always liked short-short, I have only ever grown my hair out twice and both times gave up at shoulder length. The only thing I notice now is the back of my neck is cold. I expected to feel sorry when she started cutting but I wasn't at all. As the front length is still down to my chin I don't consider it short-short but it certainly looks short at the back - I even got buzzed with the clippers. Tomorrow I will vacuum up the various long hairs that have hidden themselves around the house and then all evidence will be gone
  12. I couldn't picture a hydra harming any livebearer fry, unless it was a Mega-Hydra. None of my hydra ever got much bigger than a pin head. The ostracods didn't like them though
  13. I like Auckland better than most places in NZ I've been to, maybe it's a city for city-people and that's why. If you end up with some choices then I wish you all the best but it sounds like either of the possibilities will work out a good place to start for you. (if you do leave Auckland and can't take your fish, please ask your pygmies if they would like to enter my fish farm, some hot babes up for grabs in there )
  14. those photos are surreal. I was thinking of entering POTM but I think he will be the cause of me getting only another 2 votes :slfg:
