Right O - thanks for that, might have to look into that! I do want it to stand up quite tall so safety of the fish may be a factor I need to consider.

Yes I like that idea! I will give it a couple more days with the sinkers but if that doesn't pan out will do that. Want to get me fish in there soon! :roll:

It causes uneven strain on the aquarium structure causing weak spots that may lead to leakage or cracking of glass?

Yaye! Sounds like they can go with more than I thought! What about guppies?

Maybe you cld bag the fish and transport in a chilli bin? Definately remove gravel from tank, put in buckets perhaps. No water in the plant bags - it will bruise the plants.

Sounds good to me - but I also like the bristlenose clean up team - can we have some of those too? Oh and what about skunk loaches? Someone gotta keep the snail population down. If they hang out at the top surely they won't mind some mid range swimmers and some bottom feeders?

scuse my ignorance, I haven't yet adopted any killiefish but am keen - Can anyone suggest what can happily live in the same tank as a killie? Namely a 200lt tank and a 34lt tank... Thanks

One week... It would be nice if thats all it would take!! Right, my partner has gleefully weighted it down with fishing sinkers. I will give it a week and see if it stays down. Thanks for your input guys - hopefully I will have success cos these are really wikid looking pieces.

Well then I am glad it is dark - might try the weights thing - it will look naff but better then taking up the space in the bath. Thanks guys - if anyone can think of any other way to speed things up please let me know.

I got some really cool bits of driftwood - I have boiled them 3 times for ~15mins each time... had them soaking in the bath since Sunday (changing the water twice a day) no tannins leaching now but the wood is floating - how long does it take to get it to sink? Is there anything else I can do to speed it up?
