Thanks man! Not sure if you can see from the photo but the twisted val is spreading from left to right and runners go all the way to the log on the right. They're only 5 or 6 cm long at the moment but they should reach the surface soon 8)

So the Internet had been down since last Saturday, not much has changed anyways. Been really neglecting this tank (and all my tanks actually :oops: ). Put on a background for all of those who asked, looks slightly better I guess Camera almost died when I started taking photos so I've only uploaded the one for now.

The more plants competing for lights and nutrients, the less chance algae has to grow. Also think about fast growing plants too, they absorb nutrients quicker than slower growing plants, great for a new tank.

I'm pretty sure you can buy those in the electrical section of Bunnings, Mitre10 Mega, etc. BUT read THIS first.

I've seen my shrimp feeding on fish, but only once they're dead. The fish probably died then the snail went to clean it up.

And also, running something like a 1W LED over a 250ml cup with glosso in it is 4W per litre, you can't grow glosso under a 1W light.

I travel with them once a month to Hamilton. Usually have the booking details printed or written down but most of the time I can just point out my name on the list and I'm on.
