I have never kept them before but people who keep them with aficans say the fry (or any other small fish) in the same tank as synos are as good as dead. Synos like midnight snacks :spop:

about ahalf of the fish you have listed will become food for the syno when he gets bigger , they will vanish in the night while they are sleeping

They should eat granules eventualy they have quite small mouths for cichlids so try to a avoid some larger foods i had a texas who wouldnt touch anything unless it would clearly fit in his mouth.
