tips on breeding albino and sterbai corys

Featured Replies

I currently have a three foot comunity tank with

x4 sterbai corys

x2 albino corys

with heaps of other angels and barbs etc

and have a 40-60l breeding tank

The two albinos look like they are male and female and the sterbai im unsure of, ive had these fish for almost 3 years.

any advice is welcome

Hey I've heard that cories are easier to breed in groups, I may be wrong but you can still breed them in Pairs. Normally condition them with white worms bbs flake foods ect. And have them in a fully cycled tank bare bottom is easier lots of java moss. And when you want them to breed do a cooler water change. Try google for more information.

If i went to the lfs and got some more corys would they be old enough to breed. Ive read that they need to be a couple of years old to breed?

originally I had 2 panda cories and they breed. Females are larger and plumper than males, They do best in schools of 6 or more though.

26C temp tank and good food supply then do a cold water change on a stormy day, even better if it is rain water
