  1. Probably your extremely active and predatory banded knife  yeah right. Take out the hiding spots and see how they respond maybe?
  2. Do you have any knowledge of enhancing Jardini colour with lights?
  3. saw some bullhead catfish in an asian supermarket on the shore - yum
  4. Ok sounds like a similar growth rate - biggest is a male? my largest is a female, ate heaps more than the male and is around 7-8cm, male is starting to get more aggressive in feeding at henwards - away from oppressive female - and is slowly getting bigger. To be honest i expected a bigger growth rate from these fish, compared to an oscar they are quite slow.
  5. Pics of your female festae David?
  6. Need an aquarium on the shore, lots more space for one, its not like Kelly Tarltons can expand. Pretty sure the aquarium part has been closed.
  7. Nice! atm I have 1 male festae, 2 Gts (m/f pair), jag cichlid, geo. Im expecting aggression to increase once the jag gets big enough to hold his own. How big are your GTs, and how long have you had them?
  8. They used to have an aquatic section, but they closed it down, might have just been put into the pond from there. I have seen some really huge carp in the spidermonkey exhibit too, could have been one of those.
  9. Bothered to actually TEST the water
  10. What cichlids do you keep now Duncan?
  11. I have 2, 1 male 1 female, male is at henwards, but even with all his 'talent' at growing fish, he seems to be growing slow...
  12. keep it, looks like some sort of black phantom 8) ........sounds like a super hero
  13. ah, I didnt see the dorsal fin before now. looks good. keep it.
  14. Could get a jardini and dye it red not gonna get anything red for 7 hundy, check out Henwards aro - might be in the 'lower quality' range of asian aros but it looks pretty primo - probably the best 'cheap' asian aro out.
  15. Looks like its either the featherfin knife ^^ as suggested or its an African knife -how big is it? Im pretty sure the african ones only get to like 20cm?
  16. hey guys, I have 2 GTs, 1 female and 1 male, they eat heaps! And they live in good conditions so tank size is not an issue. I have had them for about 2-3months probably and the female is almost 8cm and the male close to that also, bought them at about 5-6cm. Anyone who has kept these guys before, opinions? Does anyone have pics of their full grown one on here?
  17. aw jeez, lets just drop it aye, what an eyesore thread - lets change it: post your leopard gecko pics, I'd rather see those 8)
  18. looks great, maybe some more small plants around the stones, dwarf chain sword?
  19. Was just wondering who keeps what with their aro (doesnt matter what type), any interesting combos out there where aggression is minimized? I keep with my Jardini: Festae, 2x GT, 2x silver sharks, geophagus, 2x dels, 3x sens, 1 albino sen. Does anyone keep their aro with tetras? I have seen it done before and it looks awesome.
