  1. Yeah, I agree, definately put either piece in the corner looks much better that way. that would be cool, make it into a tree.
  2. quality pieces. You could go both? Or dont they both fit in together? but if you had to choose one, I would go for the second one on its own, add some smooth round river rocks around some of the roots and plant it up. trying to find an example that I have seen by takashi amano that looks amazing.
  3. ^^ This, too much effort for a piece of dead tree.
  4. Are you kidding?? Feed them to some monster fish!! :happy1:
  5. The last one I believe is Chelodina Upsidownis  ...sorry not very helpful
  6. I have seen a 20inch one on mfk! But will probably max out at a foot.
  7. Nah, flagtail is all good, a really great fish for sure, active and colourful. Flagtails are retailing for about $109 from HFF, however this one has FAR superior colour than all the others that I have seen for sale, I think that 2 subspecies may have been imported, they were labelled as red tailed flagtail, and flagtail - growth rate has been great on mine, good diet and good tank conditions helped bring out colour. I will probably be unable to upgrade lighting and add co2 at the moment, but what sort of fertiliser would be appropriate?
  8. update on tank; new plants picked up from a friend, and courtesy of waterlogged . Now its looking like a jungle. Fei feng is looking great! love this fish! He is about 3-4 inches now with wicked colour, blue dempseys are in the sump until Jardini is moved on. I am running a double tube regular flourescent bulb (4ft), and a 3ft t5 unit, tank is 60cm deep, enough lighting? Reccommended ferts to add to the tank? Will have to replenish my stock of bichirs after having a mass suicide of delhezis for unknown reasons :tears: But tank is looking a lot nicer
  9. Lol, yeah if its a female I will sell it.
  10. well done bro, took a while  Saw it when it was dark and still, need to pop over some time with henward and have a decent look. Lovin' it though, will be great fully stocked.
  11. Nice tank! more whiptails would be cool I think.
  12. Black aro has crazy bursts of growth! And loaches are much more active + nice plecos = nice tank.
  13. You have a 120g marine tank but you cant buy a filter? :-?
  14. Yum Zebra plecs !drool: Nice Kiwiplymouth! Have to agree with henward on that though, they would look WAY more badass if they were like a foot long
  15. Might not start counting albinos/goldens until they put on some size, recessive genes - mixed genepool = anomalies.
  16. Can't beat a jaguar cichlid if you want a large S.American agro. Although their personalities do vary.
  17. LOL, I just got an achieved in NCEA and some credits for doing a 1 day 1st aid course that I didnt even know was worth credits, just did it for a valuable life skills.
  18. Really Really Reaaally want an iguana !drool:
  19. Some good info thanks. Pretty sure I have 3 males and 1 female, however I will probably be selling 1 male and 1 female to raise funds for delhezis lol, my biggest is about 8inches.
  20. I have some nice blue dempseys that are mature enough to breed, I think there is 3 males 1 female. Although my initial intention was to breed bluexblue I was informed that you can only get viable offspring if its a normalxblue? Is that true? Anyone here with experience breeding jd's/electric blues? cheers
  21. Man that sucks. I get the feeling like you would be a terrible advisor lol, "yes you should spend the 5g on the reef tank" ......Except maybe for fish people.
  22. Yeah^^ This is where I stand as a student, although many people have played down good grades as not necessary, I see them as key factors in other people's opinions.
