ive found snail eggs to look more like a gel/ slear snot in the tank.

i got mine from the local garden shop, i tried switched on gardner for pumice but they said that all of their pummice will have something added to it.

a RCD detects the current going into something and the current comeing back out, if theres an imbalance (like your getting zaped) it will cut off within a matter of milliseconds

yea im shure that pure water has a ph of 7. theres only 3 things i can think of that would make the water so acidic 1, i didnt clean the barrel enough before useing it (i scrubed and rinced it) the barrel was previously used as a containor to bring fencing staples into the country 2, i live next to the blenheim airport and pollution might be too high 3, i havnt gotten up on the roof yet to see how clean the gutters are, thought they would be alrite as theres no tallish trees around the house and i dont have a ladder, in the bottom of the barrel theres minimal crud, just acouple of leaves, ammonia level of 0 though

is it normal for rain water to have a ph higher than 6? i set up a rain collection barrel and tested the rain water and it was higher than 6! wondering if anyone else has the same problem and what the ph of other peoples rainwater is.

i tried going from submerged to emersed grown on a couple of my plants and they more or less killed off the submerged leaves and grew new ones, i think it has something to do with the fact that the leaves cant hold their own weight when you take them out of the water.

mite be something to do with the water flow? have you got alot of holes in the bottles? i rember seeing adodges setup with coke bottles and she had a fair few holes in all the bottles with an external canister filter if my memorys right.

same happens with me when i use the blue betta seperators (using the whole thing for 1 fish not 4) but when i use a 3l water bottle i havnt any troubles.

yea i was putting in an undergravel into one of my tanks, striped the tank completly except for the CAE, tried putting the grates down but he hid under them, hended up catching him in my hands and throwing him at the bucket of water, didnt realise till i was finished that i missed the bucket... bad i know but hes still alive, hasnt grown an inch but still alive

is the white and orange rock in the middle from a rock climbing wall?

as above, been looking at buying a few extra tanks and ive come across a few people selling theirs after the tanks have been in storage for 2 years, just wondering if they will still be fine or would the silicone of gone off and started to crack/not be water tight
