lol no, except the wet part, likes to jump into the pond outside for some reason, theyre both shorthair tabby females, couldnt really think of a name, didymo stuck, pest at times, hard to get rid of her when shes being annoying and likes to stick to things like your shirt you freshly ironed...

ild admit that im quite hairy and she started trying to suckle my chest! and now the second cat has started suckling herself, weirdest thing, theyve only recently gotten names too as we had them as foster cats, before that it was number 1 and number 2, now its sprat and didymo

its on a town supply but unshure which, im in woodbourne which is between renwick and blenheim, and according to this site its sourced from a well and either ph correction tested or chlorinated, but i dont think its chlorinated as the water never smels chlorinated, and i notice the chlorine smell in the drinking water in auckland. http://www.marlborough.govt.nz/utilitie ... ater#water

cheers, ive got a large container full of water with a large pump full of peat going for the last 3 days, i could get some river water from the wairau if that will help, which looks nice and clean but dont want to introduce any foreign bacteria or diseases. i think my next try with these guys will be on friday that way i will be home at 10, Cheers

I tried catching the rain water here in blenheim but was so acidic it was off my ph test set chart (live next to an airport). How was the tank set up? bare bottom and mops and with/without a bubble filter on low? also what was the first foods you used for the fry? have got bbs and baby daphnia at the moment, worth getting some microworms?

i had looked into importing myself aswell, getting your own licence was horendesly expencive for a one timer. i got hold of maf i think it was and they gave me a list of every business that had an importing licence including their phone numbers. after a bit of digging around i had found acouple of people who where willing to rent out their quaranteen facility to me and advised that i needed to import heaps of fish to make it worth while and sell the others to recover the cost, something like a couple of thousand fish. im just trying to look through my emails for the list now if you would like me to farward it to you if i find it.

ive recently gotten two kittens from the SPCA here in blenheim and theyr both 9 week old girls, the thing is the smaller of the two keeps trying to suckle the bigger one as if its trying to get milk, anyone had this with their kittens before or is mine just weird?

i moved 6 tanks from auckland to blenheim and all i did was bag them and bring them down including a night in turangi. just set up like normal and just kept an eye on the ammonia for the first week, didnt have many hassels except a pair of angels died a few weeks later.

would you be able to post a pic up of how you set up the spawning tanks too please adodge

do you mean fern or moss? well i put them in on friday nite and either im blind and cant see the eggs or they didnt do it. tank had a fair bit of java moss and ambulia in it for them to spawn in. might try the method of having a bear tank with the mesh in the bottom, anyone got a photo of the sort of eggs i should be expecting?

well theyr still seperated at the moment eating lots of frozen brineshrimp, bloodworms and daphnia, will be putting them back into the breeding tank either tonite or tomorrow. which method is recomended? the metal plate with nothing in it or the tank full of plants?

i havnt seen any asian aros around, do you have to order them in or are they quite rear?

well i see that people are just saying that a 4 foot tank is too small, so what would be the ideal tank for a single silver aro to live in for its entire natural life?

yea i am training at woodbourne, lol stands out a bit dosent it? but the thing is ive been told that reflection is wrong ant that its like light traveling through diffrent media how it refracts away from the refractive inted when going from less to more dence, then it seems to reverce.

my mother tried it and it worked, her friend did it at the same time but mums friend didnt give up, mind you i dont think she really tried hard enough
