Hey Lmsmith, the lower hutt one is slightly better (apart from the old wrinkly lady with purple hair who's convinced that you cannot have a sponge filter on its own without a motor and tells me there's no such thing... :roll: guess old dogs can't learn new tricks) but I have noticed they sometimes had fish with whitespot and still for sale, and a staff tried selling sharks to Dave's little sister who has tetras in her tank. No knowledge of compatibility or of aquarium gear or even willingness to learn - but on a brighter note they have awesome deals with mutliple buys

I have 10 Chain/Dwarf Loaches and 2 Zebras - they're good 'cos of their small size they can get into all sorts of cracks and crevices and they stick to themselves most of the time..wouldn't mind adding a few more Chains to my little gang, good housekeeping fish!

Nice Discus and set up too! What are the two smaller Discus with the bars?

you may have to buy a few and sell a few to get a good group that doesn't bicker as much, just like Ryan says they're never what you want when you buy small/young :roll: but at the same time older Angels are more $$$, a trade-off either way

Dave gave me his spare ballast - I think it was a spare for his Beardy tank? What does a UV sterilizing light do Alan? - would this be beneficial for the tank?

So true!...my little mutt (PekeXJap Chin) has an underbite and is most likely going to get cateracts (was on eye drops for a while) as well as a palate that needs to be surgically shortened so she can breathe probably, I could take the Big Yellow un-named chain petshop to the courts since I wasn't told of all her medical conditions and I paid $1500 for her not to count about $2000 of vet bills over the short 2 years I've had her...BUT I still love the toe rag to pieces :roll:

haha wow intense reading! Where are these serverums? Pics? I know dogs aren't the best example for selective breeding due to breed-prone genetic faults cateracts, bad hips, bad elbows, under bite and over bite...a mutt is probably better in health than a pedigree

those 'bars' are stress bars (unless you have a Wild caught X) so don't worry about them, only comes out when stressed

the lighting says 100,000K if that helps? with both blue and red light spectrums and I got it really cheap from a lighting specialist

that's so sad! the worst thing being people on auction sites buying fish 'cos they look good but have absolutely no idea how to take care of them (or even care to)

I just use one of those grow-lux lights? seems to be sufficient enough
