  1. that would make an awesome catfish tank. whiptails, plecos and more plecos
  2. not really. if you tell me the scientific name, i may be able to look to see if the wholesalers have them
  3. o really? I didnt see them. what did they turn out to be?
  4. I have one. well I had one. im sure its in a tank somewhere. maybe its in my secret plant tank. but ive said too much already
  5. All my male fighters to date have died of being pigs, eating more than they need, and then getting dropsy (minus the one that jumped).
  6. Happy Birthday! is it an ice cream cake? (Zev made-ed me a cake today too  )
  7. minus, the gap at the top of the tank where most don't fill water, stones, gravel, (fish even) , plants, accessories etc etc
  8. not just yet, it isn't. dont feed him at all. fighters are famous for being total pigs!
  9. ha ha.. yes it is. I prefer the nandus's! they are so cool and their mouths are awesomely deceptive
  10. was it a nandus nandus or a mono poly?
  11. that's not what i meant. they use it to train dogs for fighting. staffies and pitbulls in particular. they have large wooden beams that are attached to the dogs and they are used to build up muscle so that the dogs can fight. you can usually tell who wants to strength train the dog. conversations usually go along the lines of- id like a diet supplement to build bones and make the dog bigger, and a harness.
  12. I don't know if Im right, but I think he means he wants guppies that have a sword shaped tail (gene for which is x-linked), and not a guppy x swordtail. I think.
  13. A few of mine have done this in the past. I always put it down to the biggest bn hassling them and them getting stuck
  14. you'll be surprised how many people we have to show the door at animates cause they come in asking for strength training harnesses! or "we will get asked can this be attached to something that is 50kg?" .. its disgusting.
  15. fake lorikeets! who would have thought! hmm.. maybe i need some of them. They look so little and thin! I have a fat bird on my hands!!!
  16. good luck for getting to the egg stage and sorry to hear about the female
  17. line breeding is just a fancy way of saying hybridising in many cases is it not? i mean it just signifies intent yes? what i mean is I could have hybridised something, and then I say - no I'm line breeding(someones gotta start it), and then instead of getting dirty looks - everyone's happy
  18. LOL that's actually quite funny. Now why would any one look at a kitten and think .. "well I know what I'm going to do; Ill take this duct tape and wrap up the kitten chasing butterflies"
  19. http://www.stuff.co.nz/oddstuff/2899365 ... tape-in-US
  20. Then i would say it is not technically a hybrid. someone's got to start "line breeding" for it to happen. that's what i would call it.
  21. are they all the same species?
