Expensive is a very relative term because it depends on the perceived value. I for example wouldn't consider a $20 fancy guppy to be expensive, but I would consider a neon tetra or a common bristlenose selling for $20 to be expensive. Again perceived value. Some of us happily pay hundreds of dollars for some catfish, but wouldn't consider them to be overly expensive.

Hmm.. you could try the Finnex Ray 2 in 10,000K but you'll need to run a HO T5 unit in conjunction with it. Put plant pros or powerglos in the HO unit. -

That's because lorikeets are not chewers (even though they are biters). They eat pollen, nectar, honey. They eat things with a very very hi GI and they eat small but very frequent meals. Have you googled lorikeet care?

Have a search through the forum for this. I've posted a thread or two about it. I hope you have the patience of a saint. Lorikeets are far from obliging at the best of times. Beats having a sun conure though.
