  3. find out what type of pump you are going to use to see what size plumbing you need, then you need to get some fittings to go through the glass that will fit your plumbing this is then telling you what size to drill your holes. 3ft x ? x ? sump will depend on how it is set up there are some very good sites around about sumps draw your stand the way you want it, with all the sizes on it and take it to a engineering shop and have it made.you may have to shop around to find the right price on the L angel that you use around the base of your tank make sure that it is high enough to cover your baseboard, poly, tankbase good luck

  7. the first thing we need to know is what size tank do you want, and any idea of what type of fish do you want. this will make a bit of a differance to what gear you will need eg;you dont buy a 2 x 1 tank to keep oscars or a fluval 1 to run a 6 footer bigger is better

  15. if the water is smelly after 2 days something is wrong. is the filter working? has something else got stuck in the tank or filter that should not be there?did you put anything else in the tank?eg;stones not washed,or something that will raise your ph levels through the roof. im not to good on goldfish but there is always a reason. i would put the other 2 fish in the bucket with the others untill you get it sorted.put a air bubbler in with them as well to help turn the water around and keep the surface broken good luck hope that thay all live

  19. a few scales missing as well but no big pieces missing water is fine ph 7.6/ ammonia 0/nitrite 0/nitrate 5.0 all other fish are doing well nics are breading at the moment but are not big enough to do damage to them as thay are the smallest in the tank by a long shot have a thought that thay did the damage to each other and it took a day to kill the flowerhorn or the redhead is the biggest and wanted more room  wok; my wife would leave the tails and take the rest, still i did look at her
  20. i have a mystry killer in my community tank 2 days ago i found my midas dead with no fins left yesterday i found my flowerhorn dead with no fins left the problem i have is that i dont know who, there is no other fish with any damage and thay have lived togerther for some time now tank mates ; red head severum x 3 (1 X GREEN 2 x gold) 2 x chocolates 2 x nics 2 x jack dempsy 2 x banded laproscomis 1 x pleco all large fish the midas and the flowerhorn were both a good size around 250mm.both of these fish should be able to hold there own.or at least last a night but fine when i go to bed and dead when i wake up

  22. i can only tell you what happened to my jags once you have moved the babies away from the parents thay seam to forget about them and if thay go back in thay are food.younger brothers and sisters also become food for the older ones i have so many of these fellas i tryed a few things, the only things that i worked out are letting the parents look after them thins them out but you get only the bigger ones left. thay grow a littel bit faster, when fed live food(but it cost) flake and blood worms, a littel bit smaller (a bit chaeper) flake only, small (cheep) and the bigger the babies get the naster the dad becomes, take them out and he settels down again she will lay eggs but he wont have anything to do with it until there is no young in his tank
