i have set up a brackish tank and am looking for plants to put in it. what plants grow the best,java fern is one as it stays low. all plants in this tank i would like to stay low to allow the archers to be able to swim around the top.the tank is going to be 1m high with 600m of water and 400 left to have plants above the water so the insects have somewhere to live until dinner time java fern wanted just not at lfs prices and can i have tigers in there to as the tank is only 950 x 500 at the moment it has 2 x #8 puffer; 2 x red scatt; 1 x archer (3 more coming)all small i would like a real eco system so the archers can hunt(cool to watch) thanks now for any help

just in case i would get a new sponge,its cheaper than replacing fish. give the filter a good clean with hot water than spray with meths and let dry for a few days,wash again and use. should be fine

am using it same water changes though

mine will eat nothing but shrimps(not frozen).he is around 550 long now and lies upside down all the time. i have heard that thay can take up to 3 weeks to eat after the move.i have never had this problem, when he is hungry he will put his head out of the water and stay there and eat out of my hand.he is a guts,he can eat a handfull of shrimps and still be looking for more, good luck, hope that he eats soon great pet

if he likes bigger badder fish,he can come and take a few baby jags home,free. my jags live in a four foot tank,and breed,so must be happy.a male jag when gets to know you is quite entertaining.each one has his own personality. thay do get large(male 35cm) thay will live with a lot of fish until breeding,then lives with NO ONE i have a few large fish he is welcom to come to see what thay grow into NO PACU to big and ugly there is a lot better fish out there to choose from if you are not sure ask in here

thay work well as long as you dont get a restriction at one end. the lead tank will over flow if the restriction is big enough. the water flow is the same as your pump is flowing. i had a leaf block the inlet to the bridge about 5 years ago and ended up with 200lt on the floor,it didnt take long. it only blocked about half the tube look COOL just carnt get any blockage(even fish) dont know how his worked with crayfish living in it,must of evened out the flow with one in each end.

dose the tv still have the glass face can that be used as the face(dont know) acrylic will scratch easy though when clening would look good if it looked like a tv

this is from my son, if you have no public access to the area where the pond is to be built,no saftey fence is required. by public access thay mean you must have a fully fenced section or at least the back yard fenced. my son is doing one of his final exams on why the council can make you do so mutch to make your pool safe,but thay can build man made lakes beside schools with no fencing and slippery banks. he has called it DO AS I SAY NOT AS I DO. his english master says it will make a few waves when published. other answer,dont tell anyone
