I just let the water stand for 48 hours and the chlorine dissipates. No problems as of yet

Too many times people are in such a rush to get somewhere and instead of stopping to help someone ie. (broken down at a roundabout). I have seen people tooting, pulling out and racing past a stricken vehicle!. We need more Harolds around

Wow that is awesome to have her spawning at such a young age, but then you did get them to grow very fast!. Are you going to lower the temp and try and get more females this time?

More pics.. Most of them poor but you get the idea.. Some fish are alot darker with more irridescence but not necessarily any more agressive. Could these be males? Some are quite yellow with the distinctive black line (maybe females?). And there is one that is alot paler than all the rest with a faded black vertical line.... Most are starting to develop redish tails

If you look at her left Pec fin, it is stunted and she had lost movement in it plus it was red and inflamed at the base. I think the stress of shipping her topped her off ( although it wasn't stressful shipping for her as I was ever careful and her mate, one of Jens, is looking great). I am really gutted as I had high hopes on breeding this pair. Good luck to others out there.

Hi All. Saw some Apisto Borelli in LFS but they look less impressive than those on google.... More like steel blues. Does anyone have pics of the true Borelli?

Yeah only have the pair and only a handful of females in the country. The male is a beaut, one of Jennifer's and the female must be an import ex Land_lubber.

I picked up a pair of these yesterday and did not notice that the female most probably has dropsy. Really gutted as there are very few of these around. What do you guys think? Thanks.

Thanks guys. Most of my fry look to be definite males but there are a few which seem to be a lot lighter in colour and with less iridescent markings, especially around the gill plate. Here's hoping!

Too true I could never have seperated them even if I had wanted as I didn't know and still don't know which are males and which are females. I think they are all males!
