Thanks everyone i appreciate the advice as i have never switched tanks before.Would putting a heater in the chilly bin be okay as it will take a few hours to do the change over?.

Thanks for that.I will just give the gravel a clean with hose.I thought janola would be okay as ive used it on my plant to kill snail eggs and to clean out my breeding tank.But i dont want to destroy the bacteria or risk any readue that might be left on the gravel.

Thank for the help.I was worried i might go through a big cycle and risk losing some of my fish.I was going to give my gravel a good clean with boiling water and janola or is that a bad idea and just use cold water.

I want to move all my fish into a four foot tank.If i use the gravel and water, filter from the old tank.Will i be risking a full cycle.Whats the best way to go.

I would cover half the tank with a towel to keep it in semi darkness all ways helps if they are stressed.

I have decided not to breed them.As there are to many unwanted red eared sliders around.My daughter took the egg to school today in a box,and she is thrilled.I hear.on the grape vine that she intends to till kids in her class that they should hatch it at school.I hope she throws in in the bin as it could create a bit of a pong. :lol:

Mildred dropped a egg in her tank today.Im thrilled,all ive ever found is left overs but this is a complete egg.I would say its over due as its quite firm.Its amazing how little things can lift ones spirit when down. :bounce:

I dont know much about barbs,but could it be bloat.Does it look fat all over.When they have bloat scales stick out.You do need to post a picture up.

Great info thanks its been very helpful.I have made up my mind and decided to get some.Now all i have to do is get my best son inlaw to make a lid for the tank, i have decided to use and scrape the paint off the back.

I I would like to see the adult breeding pair.To see if their eyes are blue By that age they should be fully coloured.

I was interested to.I have never heard of them.I would like to see a photo before i parted with any money.

I just made a hole big enought for them to go in.Then i scored the insides with a screw driver,and put it in my oven on 100 for about hour.The coconut comes away from the insides clean as.Then gave it a rinse and put it in my tank.I had no problems.

Im a bit naughty.I feed my fish that many times to.I surpose it depends on how much your feeding out each time.Some people break one feeding into three.I over do it,but i do a water change every three days.And its hard they keep looking at me.Mitzy said my sharks are fat.I dont think they are.Fish grow fast in my tank,so i must be doing some thing right.

Thanks for that info.I had heard of them doing this before but never seen mine do it,and was worried as this was not their normal behavior.

My clown loach is lying on its side a lot.They have not done this before im getting a bit worried by this as im quite fond of them.
