Did you really use a liter of bleach :lol: .You would have killed those bugs for shore Three hours of flushing would have taken the bleach out.Just give it a stir around with the hose running and it will be ready to go.A cup would have done the job.Good luck

I never seen so much rain either.Does insurance cover you for slips or do they class it as an act of god.I feel sorry for your friend,it must have been frighting for them.It has affected a lot of peoples homes this year.

Will its was real cold at five am.My old girl decided she needed to go out side and i need to keep an eye on her,as she starting to forget to come in.A cold morning must mean sun shine. :bounce:

They are both in time out at the moment.My main concern was George was dragging Dougle side ways,and they were stuck.I was worried as the one that was getting drag looked distressed.Im fairly open minded but that was just to much :lol:

Will ive never heard of it before either.They were sold to me as boys.They have long nails,Thin long tails.And ive seen them trying to have it off with my girl.

I have one girl with them.They were like that twenty minutes and one looked in pain.I know when it happens with dogs you put the hose on them.I did not know what to do.I was so shocked it was my boys.I was about to take them to the vet :lol: :lol:

Panic over they are now apart.I have gay turtles :lol:

I am in a panic.My to boys are stuck together.How can i get them apart.I lifted both together out of the big tank as i thought they will drowned and put them in shallow water.Do boy do this.

Try googleing carbon in filters.I found this interesting and explains alot about it.I will be using carbon again,but mainly for my turtles.

That's good to know about the gravel,i had some years ago and had them on gravel.But never realized that they could swollow it.Found out the hard way they could swollow gold fish.I thought they were to slow :lol:

You dont need land.They stay in the water.

They are cold water.You can have gravel on the bottom.A filter is good to have.You can have rocks or decorations.

Don't be surprised if they breed in your community tank.Mine did.They are a lovely fish.

I only run five,but two of those are turtle tanks.They dont have lids on as i was told its bad for them.All i have running is two tvs,two computers,the dryer every day for an hour and three showers a day.But my son and daughter stay in the showers for ever which does not help.Its not the tank as my son inlaw said they only cost thiry eight dollars to run.

Are you on bottles,as i think it works out dearer.My daughter is on main gas and its cheaper than bottles.But i think it depends on your setup.I wish i had your power bills.Mines two fifty a month and thats . with no heating.

My friend has gas bottles and they are not cheap to refill.I think she said 120 a month for one.There are only her and two children.She does not use the gas heating.But she does not have a cylinder,so her water heat as it comes out.If you have a cylinder i think it runs a bit cheaper.

I know its heart braking when you get attached to certain fish.Im going through a cycle at the moment as i switched tanks from my three foot to a four foot.I used the old filter and gravel as will as some of the water from the old tank.It should have been fine but i for got to plug in the heaters two days later.And got white spot.I treated my tank and cleared the white spot,but killed my good bacteria.Lost three fish so far.Im doing daily water changes.And im so mad with my self.

You will be okay.The hardest part is the waiting.Do you have any other tanks up and running.
