  1. If you jump,he will keep barking.I would have said,do it your self as you always complain when i do it.Put on lots of warm clothing and dont touch that wood.
  2. I think the training starts at home when Young both male and female. If brought up in a family that still believes its a women's job around home its very hard to change. And if children observe mom doing all the work around home, and dad going to work and that's it.They will form those belief's a man or women are not willing to see, that perhaps these room for change to improve a relationship you have two choice's .
  3. When i google these fish to find out info on them, they are meant to be peaceful and are not aggro even when breeding. They are not meant for the more aggressive tank mates. They are said to be gental and timed. What have you girls done to them.
  4. This was a new male and female i had not breed from them before, and i was checking and seen no nest and he was so nasty to her.I was going to remove her and seen a few bubbles the size of a fifty cent peice and thought they had just started. Then mitzy had a look and said you have babies free swimming by then they had a lovely feast.I thought they would be bigger than my honey babies orange babies were.If I'm lucky i might have fifty babies left, could be more cant really see with having floating plants.

Thanks for that link. They are quite an interesting bug.At the moment they are in with my gourami babies. This is the size of my gourami babies, look at the dot . they do have a tail  some of the cyclops are bigger. They can be a problem for sick or weak fish.My fish love them. .Cyclopes breed like theirs no tomorrow.Im not quite sure where they came from,.They were in with my inforsorea. But a good food for fish when live food is in short supply.

    cyclops

Are cyclops a good food source for babies or is there a risk?.
  7. Boy top fin is long and pointed.Females have a rounded end on top fin,and are rounded in theirbody at front.Male have a point at the end in there top fin.
  8. I might invest in a pair of decent glass one day, instead of warehouse ones. This is the second lot i have nearly lost. The first lot i throw out as i did not see them. Now i have more cyclops than babies as the parents ate them.Matbe i should go into breeding cyclops i can see them.
  9. They are cyclops and the number is growing there have laid more eggs on my tank glass.Should i clean my breeding tank out and start again. From what i read on google they will eat my babies anyway.
  10. Wont these eat my babies that are so small they are like glass splinters.
  11. I was not sure where to place this.i was feeding daphnia out in my breeding tank to condition the gouramis.I now have the babies in there.I noticed white dot on my tank glass will these have hatched. These thing are jumping up and down like daphnia, but some are huge and theres hundreds.Do daphnia breed like that and do they get so big.I have never really taken much notice before of daphnia life cycle or have i got some thing else in there  sorry no camera
  12. Maybe you could Google it?.A.nd find out how sensitive they are to medication.Tonic or salt and up the temps would be what i would use and I've used this with clown loaches and have had no problems. But i dont know about your fish and it may kill them.Have you thought about cutting back on your tanks so you can do regular water changer's i cant be of help was sure we had people on here who had them.
  13. Sounds interesting i must admit it has been worrying me as to how much my power will chute up,if i increase my tanks. My last power bill nearly made me sick. But im in desperate need to increase as it is holding me back from breeding. Will look forward to updates
  14. How many tanks do you have?.Hopefully some body will answer this topic who has some knowledge of these fish.
  15. The first thing i would be doing is a water change.Im surprised that they have lived this long.I do weekley water changes.I dont know about whiptails,so i cant till you what you can use for them.Im sure some body will come on soon and help.
  16. Your lucky to get washing dry on the line.Im near the hills, and it can be out all day and not dry,so straight in the dryer for mine.L dont look forward to my power bill with the dryer and fish tanks. But it is a beautiful day.
  17. And what a beautiful day its going to be.At the moment im freezing cold, and last night i shivered myself to sleep. As i breath the steam is flowing. Will at least my fish are warm. How was your morning?

    pet eel

Mine climb out the tank.I even found in my filter.I gave up on that idea as back then i did not look into it like you are.Good Luck
  19. I breed dwarf gouramis. You can not breed them in a community tank, yes they will build a nest and spawn but wont survive the least you ether need a bigger tank that you can divide or three small tanks.I run on three tanks and that's not anoth.Have a look at my posts and you will get an idea of what you need.Eggs will hatch in twenty four hours or less at eighty, lower temps take longer but if they have not hatched after three days they have had it.I would do a water change before you fish get sick. Then test your pH you should get a higher reading.Good luck
  20. Thanks Stu,not many babies from this spawn, very disappointed put the female in five days ago,and they did not seem interested. The male had not built a nest, and was nasty.Mitzy came round to day and i got her to check the nest. The babies were free swimming so must of had them three or four days ago, probley about twenty or thirty left im real bumb out i was looking forward to this spawning as i have waited a long time for these females to be ready.
  21. I started this post as in the past this shop has had problems, and i noticed a great improvement.I spoke to Chris yesterday about the problems and my opion of the shop in the past, and told him how impressed i was,and just wanted to let people on here know.Vindy500 was just exspresing her own experince and i dont see any thing wrong with that.I wish i never started this post.
  22. Vindy500 you have not done any thing wrong. You just stated an opinion, you did not dis the shop. And yes it is a public forum where we should be able to have an opinion, with out the worry of a pick session starting up.
  23. No they have not set up their new tanks yet,its meant to be happening soon but i have been hearing that for a while now.
  24. It might be kinder to put it out of its misery. If its not moving much and not eating.
  25. I went to the pet shop yesterday and was quite impressed with their service and the state of their tank's was nice to see.
