Hi ph was between 6.8 and 7.0 temp27 tank.40cm.Bare bottem tank,just a bit of driftwood with java moss attached,sponge filter not turned on till babies free swimming,and just a little.And glad wrap.Babies brought up on inforsoria and mico worms egg yolk.These one are bigger than the honeys so i can see them,and wont throw them out :lol: great fish but so slow to grow,compeared to other fish.YOUalso need grow out tanks,as they grow at different rates.Oh i better add floating plants. mumzy50

You right it is getting worse.But it is not just the schools problem,its up to us as will,to teach our children to except others that might be different.To also teach them this is not on.mumzy50

I rescued a pitbull pup off a young girl,who told me the only way to train these dogs is to beat them.She had been told this by the breeder.This puppy was kicked like a foot ball and beaten.I knew what i was doing,i have breed staffys and still see some of those puppys today.will ajusted dogs.I grew to love this puppy,even though i told my kids i was not keeping it.Five months later the dog that we loved and spent so much on started to change,I could see it happening.I took it for a ride one day,and stopped to talk to a friend threw the window of the car.Thank god the window was there,the look and body languge my loveing dog was showing was frighting,there were other signs as will.I took him to the vets,tears streaming done my face,he new,he jumped up at me and looked at me im crying this dog had not harmed me.I found it hard to .justerfie having this dog put down but i did.The vet said because of the way he had been treated in the past and his breed,I was doing the right thing.I still dont believe these are bad dogs just bad breeders and owners. mumzy50

Great way to remove it is wih a small paint scraper,get the strong one ,not cheap one,i think they are called tunsten they have a handle.I used this on a turtle tank,not a cut in site mumzy50

Hi just a thought,is there any place to get them tested just to set your mind at rest,maybe massey or maybe a phone call to vet just to see where you could send one.When i was breeding rabbits,my vet sent mine to massey to be tested.Mind you that was ten years ago,cost me then thirty dollars,but you could just check.Be careful.mumzy50

Hi im thinking of setting up a cichlid tank,but how do you give a good vac when tank is full of rocks.Surely food gets trapped in between the cracks.I know a good filter is a must,but that does not solve the problem.mumzy50

He must be very mature for his age.He will have plenty of practise for when the time comes. :lol:

Have you tried a water change.Inotice with my daughters guppys tank it needs more water changes as they they breed heaps,and im not fast anoth to sneak them out for my turtles.Or to much inbreeding,as guppys do.You need somebody who has experince to look at them.Dont chuck them till your sure.Keep washing hands just in case.Good Luck

Im so pleased lots of babies.Three days old,now just waiting for ever for them to grow.

Try a water change,and up your temp.My gouramis tank sits on 80.Try feeding peas.Worth a try.Hope that works

Hi nick,keep an eye on your turtle.If when out of water it has a discharge coming out its nose,or is swimming lop sided it need help.Have you got a UVB lamp for it.I have red eared sliders as will.There is quite a lot envoled in having them.But i find it fun as they all have their own silly little ways and know you when you come near them.

My turtle was doing that as will,I was frecking as i thought i would have to sick my fingers in its mouth.I thought it was choking.Then it started to sun bath alot and keep doing funny things with its neck.Iwas told to turn heater on in tank and lot of sun bathing,and has come right now.I think it had a cold.It took three weeks to come right.Keep an eye on it,as a cold can turn nasty.What sort of turtle do you keep.

Hi its Mitzys mum here,They need to settle in a week at less. Dont give to many choices of caves,they are greedy and will claim the lot.the temperture around 24 to 26.My pair hated each other,and would not share caves now together.They fought for about six weeks,now they in love.I would be watching them at feeding time,as they are pigs,might need time to settle in.Just doing the normal water change will do it.Hope that helps.Good luck

Hi ive seen lights hung above tanks with chains.But you would not be able to move tanks once in place.I would say it would be pricey to have wired up,but looks good.Ok if you know someone who can do it for you.Good luck. Theresa

Hi repto no he cant swim,hes about eight, and lucky if hes about 15cm.The tank he was in was roughly 40cm long 25cm wide 30cm hight he had a big rock in there,which took up a lot of space and not much water.I have tried raising the water a bit at a time but he cant swim,he walks along the bottem .

Hi Matt seems like you are doing every thing right.Hard one,just keep trying,it happens to us all at some stage.Try some thing different for a while to cheer your self up.What happened with your female that was swimming backwards,did she come right.
