  1. Have a fantastic (but safe) time away Adrienne :bounce: We expect tons of photos and exciting stories of your adventures. All the best FF
  2. Let me know if anyone wants items delivered between these locations during Easter. Heading down Friday and back on Monday-Tuesday. PM for details :bounce:
  3. Nice, remember seeing the post before....good work man
  4. Yeah, if I loose my last female I can kiss the males good bye, unless I can magically fine several females to introduce into the group? Very, very disheartening when they were starting to breed regularly. When watching them at day time they seem to all get along, very strange.
  5. No worries, my flat mate showed me this last night.
  6. Thanks man. They are in a 5ft tank (with lids) and have been in if for 2-3 years and bred many times in there. Their neighbours are only brichardi, who have been in there for a few months but at the opposite end of the tank. Nothing has changed other than the landscape a few weeks ago and the removal of several bristlenose catfish. :dunno:
  7. Sadly discovered this morning that I am now down to 2 males and 1 female, the other female ejected herself from the tank
  8. Looking good, best of luck and we all look forward to further photos
  9. Thanks World of Water, I appreciate the responses both here and in private email. I'm now officially over my rant
  10. +1 apparently it's what the suppliers sold them as, though I would expect the store to confirm this and do their research first. Also, the person who does the website doesn't work in the store. :an!gry
  11. Good? No it's not at all good, they are selling fish under false names and they know it.
  12. Thanks man, I am considering referring the issue to the Commerce Commission, I hate to imagine how many people they have flasely sold the fish too? Shame on them all!!!
  13. Sorry guys!!! Went to Hamilton today to the World of Water to collect the reserved Neolamprologus multifasciatus, as confirming via phone with a staff member. I turned up and was amazed by the store, only to find that the fish advertised were actually Lamprologus ocellatus (gold), simply labelled as "shell dwellers". Did a few laps of the fish to confirm and was sadly disappointed!!!! I can conclude that the staff there are total idiots who know nothing about fish and that their website is totally fraudulent. False hopes, false advertising and too good to be trueness!!! Sorry again to those who had reserved these fish.
  14. WOW awesome size group mine where not much older than 2 when they first breed. How big is the tank and what tank mates do they have?
  15. And that's all folks....fish are all accounted for sorry. Here's hoping they are the real deal?
  16. Called them and they do have Neolamprologus multifasciatus and I have reserved their entire stock, which was about a dozen or so. Heading down tomorrow to collect them and obviously won't need them all. Let me know if anyone is keen on some, a 2x pairs have been reserved already. First in first serve. PM your EOI.
  17. Nah not yet, might be heading to Hams soon, if I win an auction or two so thought I may pay a visit?
  18. Bummer. This is the website where I saw some advetised: http://www.worldofwater.co.nz/shop/LIVESTOCK/Tropical+Fish/African+Cichlids/x_page/2.html
  19. Yes 2:2 left, was a Hollywoods 5x Frontosa special I got a few years ago. I guess it's not recommended to add another adult female fish and see if she "gels" with the group? So far they all seem happy and the Alpha is still taking charge and eatting before the others. The tank is big enough and has plenty of places to hide, was considering to rescuplt it but will hold off for now, needless to say I have put a cover back over the top of the tank. Cheers.
  20. Thanks. How old are you and how big is the colony?
  21. Ok, so another idea I recently had is Buffalo Head Cichlids, which hopefully would suit the other fish I wish to have in the tank? Not familar with them so have been researching these for a few days.
