Few "scratches" watched as he grabbed and shock her and pulled her tail.

She's still in the tank just not able to be harassed. Yes she is injured and really don't want her to die, repairing lump heads is apparently very difficult once one mate dies.

Thanks Smidey, he's seemed to have "cooled down" since I move her to her breeding net/trap....will monitor over the week and make plans to relocate them to a bigger thank....once she's better.

Any ideas why my male lion head is roughing up the female? Nothing has changed other than a water change I did yesterday, fry are still living happily with them. They are due to have a tank upgrade, once I get myself sorted. I have her in a breeding net where they can still see each other bit he can't touch her. Any suggestions about this sudden behaviour and solutions will be much appreciated.

Trade Me don't seem too worried about the listing, I get the impression that they don't really care as long as they get their money/fees. If only Sella was more popular?

Yes he/she does appear to be an imported but I don't understand the conditions/secrets/selectiveness with his/her listing.

Hi all, does anyone know what this new shop that is apparently "re-opening" in Auckland and currently selling via Trade Me? The variety of fighters available seems fantastic but he/she is not very forth coming with any shop information and seems selective as to who can buy certain types of fighters e.g. "Super Delta SDT M (females only avilable to selective customers with prior order) Elephant M (females only for above customers) HMs. M (same as above)" Seller goes by the user name "abz1982". Very curious.

Has been awhile since I last sold fish/fry so was wondering what the "current" price for Frontosa and Lumphead fry is? I realise it's really my call but am curious and would like to be seen as being fair and not too greedy. Both fish are 1-3cm long, the Fronts being the bigger and older. Any input would be great.

Thanks, not bad for their first brood since I have owned them....not sure what numbers they produced for the previous owners? The female can produce between 40-140 eggs in one spawning. Sheesh.

Babies are dashing everywhere and there are well over 40 fry....they had their first blood worm meal this morning, oh the frenzy!!!

Thanks Ron, there were not many but they all appear to be well, very fat and eating ok, well after the parents chew it for them.

Got the biggest surprise this morning when feeding the fish, as you do, noticed that both my Lump heads were fussing around the tank and upon closer inspection I saw their fry :nilly: Unsure of numbers and wasn't expecting any to survive after I accidently disturbed their nest last week. :bounce:
