  1. Yes I think my almost frog might be one, hopefully I can confirm that in a week or so. The colors do not like Golden bell at the moment, its darker and bumpy almost.
  2. I suspect two of my Axies may be pregnant. Are there any knowledgeable people in here that may be able to confirm this for me?? Her tummy area is getting bigger and bigger??
  3. I change my water weekly! Overfed yes....dirty nasty, I take offense lol
  4. And yes I think I may have been overfeeding
  5. I haven't stirred up the gravel of late lol.
  6. Okay so should I just change a larger amount of water and vacuum the gravel out??
  7. But I change about 30% of my water once a week?? Maybe this is not enough?
  8. They would be approx 2mm in size, so very little but theres heaps of them. I'm thinking I may have to give the tank a really good clean because they are grossing me out!
  9. I'm in Rai Valley. I think we may be traveling down via Nelson?? Not too sure yet
  10. The ragged fins aren't so much of a worry but the two small holes and 4 or 5 bumps on the body is a worry, I've just started another thread that may explain whats going on
  11. I've mentioned that my Angel fish has two small holes in it on another thread but while I was just checking him/her out I noticed hundreds of super tiny white worm things on the back of the tank on the glass What on earth are these!!?
  12. Thanks, I have never driven to CHCH so I figured it might take up to 7hrs lol, obviously not!
  13. I HAD 3 zebra danios and 3 neon tetras. They have been taken out and its just the Angel in there now. Can you see the small holes in the photos...and this morning I notice that she/he has very small lumps along where the top fins join onto the body....sorry not good at explaining what I mean
  14. CHCH and I have allowed travel time, stops etc
  15. I have just noticed that my Angels fins are ragged and it has small holes in the top and bottom areas of the fins (see pics), also has a small white bump on the body. I've tried to get some over pics for you to see what I mean.

Cool fish love the blue one.
  17. I'm picking up Angels, Catfish, neons, barbs, guppies and a Geophagus I'm super excited and can't wait to get them all home.
  18. I'm actually halfway between Blenheim and Nelson and at the moment we aren't super hot here. My room doesn't get sun where the tanks are and the Axolotl tank (unheated), has only ever risen to 21degrees....and that was on a stinking hot day...so I'm a bit worried that my tank might cool down too much. I have got it covered in a blanket now. I only have danios and neons in it...they're pretty hardy aren't they?? Whats Ick??
  19. Cool idea, I love this place lol, cheers
  20. And so one of my tank heaters has just blinked out...what is the lowest water temp that tropicals can safely handle, until I can pick up a heater on Thur morning.
  21. Thank you so much folks, thats how I was thinking to do it but being a newbie to all this stuff I just needed verification that I was on the right track
  22. Okay folks I need ideas on the best way to transport 30+ fish, by car, for a 7hr journey...7 hours max I reckon. I have groups of fish that can all go into the same bags ie tetras, angels, barbs etc. I can keep the groups together so I'll have 7 bags to transport. Thats assuming that bags are they best and easiest way. Basically I'm thinking to get some sort of holding box that will hold in heat and put all the bags in the one box?? :-? All advice very welcomed. Thanks.
