I actually just said to my hubby last night that I want to get more Danios because they are neat to watch...and yes mine have just started coming up to me

omg you have yellow frogs!!! wow, are the dragon ones really sharp and prickly to touch?? They look so neat and have almost human looking eyes!

Hi all Hey I got a really large tadpole from the PS over a month ago, maybe 2mths ago, and it had a kink in its tail where it joined to its body...really quite noticeable...anyway now it has really good sized frog legs but absolutely no sign of getting front legs or of the tail absorbing?? I was watching it today and it almost stands on its back legs in the water lol, looks real funny but is it actually going to fully morph I wonder?? I have never seen this happen with a tadpole before. Any thoughts on this?

Agreed, best and safest way, I posted many frogs this way with 100% safety on arrival....even after a package got delayed by 3 days! Frogs were fine, I think they go into a mini hibernation when packed into damp moss, they probably sleep the whole time lol. Good luck

Does the running of tanks up the power bill hugely? I run a 20w light, 2 heaters, 3 filters, 1 basking lamp 60w, at the moment. I'm wanting to know other peoples experience with this hobby vs power usage. Thanks.

I think the Richmond water supply was once said to be the worst water supply in the country for chlorine. I used to live there and my tap water was always quite cloudy and bubbly! And that was straight from the tap. I'm not sure what its like now though.

Yeah thats what I'm thinking! I assuming the two are female as they have quite rounded belly compared to the other more slimline fish

I do have Danio's lol...but I only have 3 so heres hoping they are all female or male....although I suspect I may have 2 females and 1 male I think I would try to sell some and if not I would take Ian's path too

I was wondering if anyone has successfully bred fish without even trying too lol....did you just find eggs that hatched, or did your fish have babies unexpectedly? If so, what type of fish were they...I might keep away from this ones lol.

Okay so I take it the turtle is pretty young then?

I would love to know how old my turtle is and if its a boy or a girl? The lady at the pet shop couldn't tell me a lot but she said she thinks its a girl. Heres some pics if anyone can give me more info. Shell is 2.5inches long.

Yes I think it will take longer than 2 weeks but I have read that there is something you can buy to help the process a bit or add a couple of real hardy fish to it. I also already have 3 established tanks running that I could put a couple of fish into at a time. I'm really looking forward to getting all this up and running.

Problem solved, I have tanks set up ready to go, yes I have 'ordered' these fish but am yet to pick them all up, which I am doing in about 2wks time. I'm in preparation so to speak.

Oh wow so much to learn but I'm loving every minute of it. Okay so can someone help me out here...I will get all my fish home, they are all tropicals, so then what...add a couple to my tank but how to I keep the rest okay until I can add them? I'm picking many tanks huh. Luckily I got hubby to make me 2 more last night. The catfish is sterbai catfish?? :-?
