Got here to the Big Smoke and brought some fish up for some peeps. Sorry Mystic (just got too complicated) and Blueandkim (too far to go collect the fish) that your fish transport didn't work out but I'm sure a courier will be just as effective (and even bring them to your house!). Loved having a drool at HFF (both branches!). Heading home with more fish tomorrow. Yay! :bounce:

Yeah I thought it should be higher, it is full of limestone rock and coral. What else should I do?

Yeah it is a hatchet, he seems perfectly happy, but I keep meaning to move him into my community tank, I shall do it right now!

My BGK is always out and about in the tank, he hardly ever hides

At the moment my tank has one light fitting with a flourescent tube mounted in the wooden hood. The bulb says 'Osram L30w/840 cool white lumilux' on it. Of course I haven't a clue what that all means, but I want the tank lighting to look better than it does which is a bit blah... I want it to look vivid like this... What should I do? Do I take my single light fitting out and buy a new double one with a blue marine and a cool white? I really have NO clue about this sort of stuff but I would love to know what to advertise for as WTB in the Trade and Exchange section! Or should I just buy something at HFF.

Aha! I have ONE little angel. He is the MOST interested by far. That little naughty angel! He is so cute, pearly white and the most 'angelic' looking of all the fish, but he can't go in my community tank cos he kept chomping my siamese fighter.

What kind of light bulb do you have in this tank? How do you get that almost black light kind of light which really shows their colours? Or is it just a regular flourescent bulb?

oooh can I wear socks with sandals too? My husband works for Stats so he might be able to get me some good sandals from there.

Yeah that must've been it then, the little fry have certainly been creating a lot of interest in the tank.

My melowhatsit fry are in a guppy breeder in my tank. The lid is on, and last night I had 9, this morning there are 5. I can't work out how the 4 disappeared. I don't think they are small enough to get through the little holes on the bottom of the box, and the only way I can see they would have disappeared is if they have died and then the other fry have eaten them. Any other theories?

Yeah I think I'm gonna go canaries too. Yay! Now to get hold of the damned aviary!

Can you have canaries and budgies together? I know you're not meant to have straight beaked and curved together, but are there exceptions? Budgies make the sweetest noises, but I love canaries. Hmm, I wish the guy who I bought it from would reply to my emails I want to collect it tomorrow!!

So what is all yous fellas preferences between budgies, canaries and lovebirds. I don't want something that will scream non-stop at the neighbours. I do love the sound of a canary singing. We had a canary for about 6 years called Basil. He was lovely.

Hmmmph, now I am jealous of your imaginary one. I want to live there. I am assuming that if I have more than one canary, the males won't sing?

Well don't be too jealous, I haven't actually seen it yet and it was only $45 so we'll see! I am thinking I might go for canaries and finches cos they're little.

I'm thinking a couple of blue rams, a nice school of cardinals or tetras and some peppered corys. Oh wait, wrong thread. :lol: Ok so it has been a long day.
