FLEA BOMBED my room today, damned fleas from work..... i just put the fish in a bucket for a couple of hours, cant be good for the fish... but im sure they prefer this than to inhale that potent stuff (which makes the smoke alarm go off...)

  8. HEY EVERYONE!!! im gona be out if the country from jan 11 - feb 6, im hoping some of you NIIIICE people out there can look after my fish for me... i have... 3 x 15cm(i think)ish ornate polypterus 2 x borneo tigers 1 x tire track eel i think my other tank with the oscar and knife fine... dunno about my glass shrimp tank tho... theyll prob eat each other... i live in auckland central, please pm me if you can help. i will provide all the necessary fish food, and will pay a fee if you would like me to... thanks ps. these fish will eat small fish...
  9. lol NOT EVEN, hahaha, i dont really mind, pretty racist myself, always said that jokes are only funny if they are either R18 or racist. ahaha, i say slap the man caught eeling over the head with the eel... its just saying its like one of those things like boy racers... the minority letting the rest down ( i admit ive taken undersized snapper home, attempting to keep it in my tank...)
  10. it really depends, in my tank, i have 3 ornates. every month, i throw in some feeder fish (gold barbs, danios, guppies) and once every so often, there will be a fish they dont eat (threw in 8 danios a couple month back, 7 got eaten, 1 survived. and its still alive today, despite numerous feeders have come and went) dunno why tho. my senegalus is with an oscar, clown knife, pictus, 2 goldbarbs( feeders tat never got eaten ). used to have a pleco and guess what? it sucked on my senegalus so i sold it... same thing happened when i tried tiger whiptails... a dat and a tyre track is keeping my ornates company, no problems so far... the ornates DID eat the 1st two tyre tracks...
  11. oh definately, im chinese, was quite annoyed at it....
  12. lol, or you can go to western springs... MASSIVE fat eels... although there are signs saying "no fishing" in english and chinese... why chinese? RACISM I SAY!
  13. yeah steak is keen, used to have a creek outside my old house, went eeling like everyday. just a hook on a rope, strong buggers they are... sometimes found out of water in the morning, scared me the 1st time, thought it was a snake or something...
  14. try down a couple beers, sit infront your 200l tank with 5 gold barbs.... WHOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH
  15. i used a handful of gold barbs, they are cheap and look mean buzzy... definately better looking than danios...
  16. lol, its like the same rocks i paid 50 bux for....
  17. okay, they are about 12cm i feed 3 clicks of discus pellets every morning, 1 click in the afternoon, 2 blocks of bloodworms and a couple bits of turtle feed... should be plenty.....
  18. WELL, the first one was a bit bigger than the ornates, then the ornates out grew it.... 2nd one was about the same length... the present one is bout 1.5 times bigger...
  19. not being one to give up.... MY THIRD TYRE TRACK IN A month.... (now just waiting for them to start eyeing my dat up.....)
  20. lol, mine ate a tyre track for dinner.... so i got another one... and the ornates ate it again grrrrr.... expensive
  21. are they 20~25 cm ish? females get quite a bit fatter than the males, u could prob breed them!!! i read its not THAT hard
  22. my ornate had pretty much what u described there... white fuzzy things on its side as far as i know, its an infection caused by my whiptails latching onto its side.... ive since then removed the whiptails (into the oscar tank 8) 8) ) but yeah, the fuzz falls off, then the rest of the white stuff slowly disappears... just kept the water clean and i ddnt use any med... but then again ornates are very hardy, i know nothing about pacus except they get MASSIVE
