why are they endangered if there are THOUSANDs of people breeding it?? i mean, i can see why a panda is endangered, when theres like 50 of them (probably a horrible guess)....

you think anyone in nz is having a go at breeding them? that will be pretty cool. takes a while to reach sexual maturity if i remember correctly... hmmm, also need a mother of a fish tank too!

was at hollywoods today and saw their 2 asian aros... 2 grand? for those? i must say its quite a rip, they show less colour than silvers! maybe its just me, or maybe they are meant colour that way but by no means do i think its worth it paying 2k for a differently shaped silver aro... i know before it was gonna be low grade and all, but didnt think it was gonna be THAT low... at least, its not deformed or anything have anyone else seen them? if so, what do you guys think?

oh yeah, and i noticed one of them has a snapped dorsal spike, would it grow back? or would it be like a war wound or something later...

the 300L tank is 120W x 67H x 50D cm. im feeding mine frozen bloodworms, is that fine? or would i need other stuff as well?

well, once they get to a decent size, im going to move one of them (the less pretty one) to my mothers house where i have a 600L tank with an arowana, 2 oscars, and a large pleco.

i just got my hands on 2 small ornates, from HWF... damn they sure are expensive for something so midget... for now anyways well, can anyone tell me how fast they grow? i have a section of my 300L tank separated for these 2 5cm bichirs... otherwise theyll get molested by the oscar and the big senegalus. so unless they can get to a decent size quickly, i may have to invest in ANOTHER tank... thanks for any help
