Well as I have mentioned in previous post's, ive lost 2 fighters to whitespot. Am looking at getting another male but wont things to be perfect, so am hoping you guys can help a few details... *tank is 16L *has golden sand (from the beached, cleaned etc) *java fern and dwarf sag *heater 25'c normal temp of tank *a little jebo filter *maybe a baby bristlenoses if I chuck one in. The tank is brand new, only ever housed fighters and baby bristlenoses. But for some reason when I add a fighter they get white spot and die, now I know the 1st one was due to not taking the carbon out :oops: but its out completely now. But the second fighter still got whitespot, even after treating the water as the bottle recomended (wunder cure) does anybody have any suggestions that I could try? p.s both fighters look healthy when I brought them.

Thanks guys, have done a 30% water change, filter hasn't been cleaned nor is it clogged, I guess it was the 80% clean, will keep you posted tomorrow.

Oh, I feel so mean! But there tank was so grubby!

BTW I didn't wash the filter if that helps? Its also only a 70L tank

I know these are a hardy fish, but do also die easy. Over the last 3-4 days about a dozen has died, inlcluding 1 baby bristle. I added a few baby bristles the other day from Tsarmina (but they are only being housed till my sister sorts herself) also a baby discus 4-5cm was added from mums tank only for a day. I also did a 80% water change last weekend. Which do you think has triggered the deaths? No signs of foul play or diseases either, although 1 male had a chunk of tail missing when I found him :-?

I agree, but the reserve could be a little more realistic don't ya think? They found them, even a few dollars is a gain.
