  1. My tank is 180L with 3x boys 4x girls E.Yellow, 2 baby black eyed GBAs. My LFS has a good mix of boys and girls, think they are $15 each though. So would it be ok to leave them?
  2. Well not mine but my Electric Yellow, got a trio, 3 boys + 3 girls before christmas, added another girl (will add more as they come along) Just noticed yesterday 1 of my girls has turkey neck, withdrawn from eating and making funny faces (tumbling?) Im 99% sure she is holding, if so, id like to grow them out, i'd prefer to let her spit herself, should I put her in her own tank/net with maybe Java Moss? This might be a dumb question, but will any survive if I leave her in the main tank? All comments appreciated
  3. As above, would this take water out of tanks?
  4. For diseases or bullying?
  5. I have already 1 male, 1 female gourami and they seem ok, the swordtail does have his moments with them though. I have 3 clown loaches already and they are characters when they come out.
  6. Am looking at changing my current tank into some-thing like this.... Could I have in a 320L planted and lots of caves.... 2 Kribensis Male + Female am aware they get stroppy when breeding. 1 L204 Pleco 6ish Clown Loaches 2 Angelfish 3 Male Swordtails- whom get along with each other. 2 dwarf gourmais 1 female 1 male 12 Kuhli Loaches 2 Emerald Barb- who are very peaceful School of Danio's or Harlequin Rasbora Possibly a Blue Ram? Some Corydoras 1 Golden Algae Eater- who again is peaceful Some of them I already have, some I don't not 100% on numbers or breeds etc, but if people could help with advice/suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

  12. So, im finally going to invest in some test kits, I would like a little advice on what I need. So far I only have a Ammonia test strip kit, and no that it should read 0 What are the others I will need? ex. nitrate P.H My tanks are all freshwater, 320L community tank angels, neons, bristles etc 200L Electric Yellow and GBA tank 160L Guppy and GBA tank 10L Siamese Fighter tank. Also what should the the "correct" readings be for these? I only know E.Yellows should be around 8p.h. Hope you can help.

  14. 3x dogs Kya, Jaspah, Ottis 4x cats Chino, Bazil, Cola, Envy Fish DUH
  15. Yip daily water changes, no losses today, but still Angel with what appears to be swim bladder
  16. Lost a dozen neons, but no hard feelings there. Lost my clown loach this morning, he/she didn't have any signs of any-thing, kinda weird. Added salt to the tank, things seem ok this afternoon, fish still have the look of heavy breathing. Have put angel in hospital but I am diagnosing him with Swim Bladder Disease and that is exactly what he is doing. Will feed peas in the morning, but other than that, any one have any suggestions?? Cannot be a water issue either as all other 2 tanks have had the same water. Also Paul tank was Brand New and yip gave it a clean before hand with HOT water.
  17. Alrighty, have a 320L tank, cycled it with a very mature fluval 204, added most fish from my 140L tank (so there wasn't alot) -also was given neons from my LFS. Added fish Saturday Sunday all looked fine and happy Monday- noticed that my black angel (also have a white one) appeared stressed and has what looks like white veins along its body, looks also as if its heavy breathing. Golden algae eater looks very pale. 3 neons have died. Tank was cycled properly and NO I do not have a test kit as im yet to buy one. I am pretty sure that the neons were the cause, but am not worried about that now, I am worried about my angel (one of my favourite fish in the tank) have had her/him for awhile and am quite attached. Any-one have any ideas what it is that he has? -white "vein like" lines appeared -heavy "breathing" -not very lifeless -loss of apetite. Please help!!!! and Merry Christmas all!
