    where do you get the two way valves? because at the moment the only way of adjusting it is on the pump which just has a low and high setting on it

    hmm maybe if i attached a bit of hosing to the end it mite muffle it a bit

    any ideas on how to stop a sponge filter outlet being so noisy and irritating? as it bubbles really loudly

    so when i get this new tank up and running do i cycle the filter in my current tank for a week or so? and then put the mating pair in until they make babies and then take them out again?

    well ive got a 2ft tank with sponge filter now that i know they are making babies there are 3 or 4 that are big enough to eat white worms now so im wrapped as they are in a comm tank hehe

    yeah i dont think there is many only 1 or 2 but i think i mite get the 2ft and do it in there

    yeah ive got a few terracota pots, hopefully will do the trick, what time of day or night do they usualy do the nasty?

    as title suggests i have stupid amounts of green furry algae on my plants and through the tank, its 3ft with 4 light tubes. any suggestions on how to reduce or get rid of it and maybe possible cause so can prevent it. already have 2 SAE and 8BN they help but not much

    ah nuts thats not good, ive started getting it in my new tank and blackout not working and stupid sucky type fish are starting to get into it=bad

    ever though along the lines of whiptails or something similar? they get a wee bit bigger but are still slender so overall not too big
