  1. young mice, goldfish, oxheart cut into strips, worms, cockroaches, arowana sticks, raw prawn and shrimps so far and cichlid sticks

  4. the little blennies and triple fins do all right so long as you keep the water at the bottom of the tropical range wont stand it above that for too long my parore enjoys 24 - 25

  6. hi repto 2 of them have been handled since 2 days old the rest will tolerate you near them only struggle when you grab them
  7. they will drag the sand into the water, they use the water to defecate in and as a place to hide i have a pump and column filter on the pond for ours, also swordies in the water that are now breeding any of their substrate ends up in the pond that is why we have grass carpet on the floor dont use stones as substrate as if they get a fright they can spray stones into the glass as they take off keep on handling them and they will stay tame

  10. spend most of their time under rocks, so you dont get to see them very much. if you are turning over rocks while looking for things, please put the rock back in the same position. e.g right way up

  18. was a dirty little weasel maybe i got them all so now the rat population is growing have bait stations and fenn traps around the property, thats why we are putting up the predator fence some of axys outside, but golden breeders and harlequin,(well spotted anyway) inside
  19. depends on size of fish, have kept them in 4 foot plus tanks before can sometimes be found on mount beach during and after a good onshore storm, they get stressed in wave action, puff up then are poor swimmers and get pushed to the shore if you can get to them early enough and into a bucket of saltwater they calm down and deflate, if they aren't too damaged they last quite a while in tanks keeping is same as other local marines but they can take bites out of other fish if hungry, can take a while to settle
  20. yes axy is dead, he had started eating it from the back while it was alive, had to put it down noticed a lot of my fans are missing from next pond, rat traps out tonight

  22. wouldn;t it have been cheaper and bigger to put a small conservatory off the lounge then when "she who must be obeyed" was annoyed with you , you could have been in the dog, no reptile house :lol:
  23. Just shot a rat he jumped into the axolotl pond outside, caught an adult axy dragged it out and started eating it :evil: lucky the air rifle was handy
