  11. we feed mealworm, but like everything, in moderation some sites say adult mealworm can bite beardy internally, never had it cause complications with ours though the key is a varied diet yoghurt is good, natural one with acidophilus and bifidus, can buy in powder form from health shop as well do not overdose your animals in vitamins it can cause problems with shaking and metabolism should be enough vits and minerals in quality food and variation

  19. albinism is expressed in wild animals rarely, yellow or white makes an easy target the survival of the genetic trait depends on predators being present, in their natural environment, Australia, frogs have many different predators to contend with but in nz the numbers of predators is reduced dramatically. a smal;l pond with a locked in population could eventually through inbreedng express sports or mutations in the population, and with frogs spawning so many eggs the numbers of coloured frogs might be large. there are a large amount of ifs and mights in this eventuality you could always blame it on genetic damage from sprays etc. still too much money for a frog wait a few years and the market will be flooded with people breeding them, prices will come down albino to albino = albino, spawn 300 tadpoles all albino 3 or 4 people breeding them = possibly 1,200 albino frogs on the nz market per year = 20 to 40 dollars each
  20. clarification on import of iguana repto male died and they imported a replacement this from ERMA Application Number: S2606001 3.15 Based on the import permits issued by MAF the project team notes that only four I. iguana individuals have been lawfully imported into Hawkes Bay Marineland and Aquarium. Three I. iguana were imported under MAF permit 84/z/5, which expired on 8 February 1985 (Appendix 3). A further individual was imported (to replace one that died) under permit 91/z/01, which expired on 25 July 1991 (Appendix 5). hope this helps
