it could just be a general mineral deficiency in the tank water 2 x weekly water changes should show a change in the swelling if not then may need to look at other causes i haven't had problems feeding oxheart but i would suggest faeces produced after could be higher in phosphates etc and may be a possible cause of a drop in water quality tanks fed oxheart get more water changes and heavier filtration than others

with the current system in place all costs are incurred by the applicant not the government department there is a greater chance from the current system that a new species put on the list will not pose a risk later -
HITH is inflamation and then erosion of sensory pores on the head and body of a fish as i wrote it maybe the start of a process of degradation of those areas

seed it with green water from another source old turtle water woould be full of nutrients or a dry cow pat blended up -

well we have geared the factory up just added this courtesy of toppom tetra phyto and rotifers now rearing mysis/mysid and brine shrimp

I remember when I went for my firearms license the officer showed us a rifle with a barrel split like a lily flower, he asked us how much water we thought had caused this to happen, someone said one drop - he said try a whole river, the guy had tried to shoot a fish with it by sticking the barrel in the water to get it closer to the fish.
