Can be difficult to get to eat and suggest a good supply of live food, either pods in tank or seperately grown, from experience, some will just not eat other food, some will. Current one in my tank eats bloodworm, brine shrimp, pods from the rocks and glass, and is developing a tast finally for flake food. Delicate, would not put in with boisterous fish, but very pretty and gets brave after time. Suggest a mature tank before attempting these fish.

keep on offering them to the birds they may learn wholemeal breads with grains in them, fruit tree branches, grasses with or without seed, sprouted seeds, whole beans or pea pods, the list goes on

as said they are OK as part of a varied diet

poor nutrition i see a lot of bad care information given at point of purchase that results in worse cases than this galah
