  3. get your cats use to the move by taking them on rides that slowly last longer and longer
  4. as with all fish, people need to ask It just makes me angry to hear of people that simply dont know what they are talking about
  5. A friend told me last night that he over heard some people looking at some Killis in the Bird Barn and commenting that its a pity they only live a year... I cant belive how ill-informed some people are. most annuals will have a shorter life span although I have some that are over 18 months old but non-annuals will live for ages. I have a few that are over 2 years old and I expect them to live for another year or 2 yet
  6. the compression in the poly will normally take up a slighty uneven surface as well as insulate it

with Norths being smaller, up to 50 or 60 but I place into 2 or 3 containers asap so you dont loose the lot if they get velvert. With non-annuals I only normally hatch say 20 to 30 and they are happy in there for a week to 2 depending on how fast they grow. I use only say 20mm of water in the container as well and do at least one water change a day and often 2. With Nothos, they need dirtier water and will get about a 5% change every couple of days
  8. alls forgiven, you just need killie eh

I use 1 litre containers from Foodtown
  10. Killis require very little work If I go away, nothing happens with them. I spend an hour at night (could cut it down to under half an hour) and 15 to 30 minutes in the morning. Weekends a couple of hours if I feel like it
  11. 52 and no Killis shame on you!!!!

  15. Ryan You know Brenda has 5 dont you? Ones on holiday at the moment at my eldest daughters place
  16. I raced for 20 odd years but Brenda has a released company www.weddingwings.co.nz shes been doing it for about 4 years now she keeps about 60 to 80 birds
  17. I gave my books (including Rob Marshals) to a vet in Titirangi He also had a nice range or treatments Coci dosnt always have the externaly systems like diarhoea but they simply go light...we call it going light If it happens again, try the tail feather trick as I thing you will be supprised BTY, we still have 60 to 80 pure white birds
  18. almost definatly either coxsideous (I know the spelling is wrong on that one) or Canker Canker is treated with sulpher based drugs and coxy is a dirty condition thing that allows the pathogens to take over. When pigeons/doves go light and wont respond to treatment, often if you pull out all the tail feathers, they will slowly come right.... sounds like an old wives tail but it works. with all due respect to vets here in NZ, very few know anything about pigeons so most treatments that work are what we (as pigeon racers) have found that works over seas.
