  3. we use plastic track almost every week of the year. We use small screws and carefully counter sink the holes Any had setting glues will often give problems as the glue sets solid and hard as rocks but the plastic and MDF move at different rates creating a shearing effect and breaking the seal BTW, My son in law is building a new BD enclosure out of glass, its about 1500 long x 700 x 700 He will need to glue those tracks in using silicone
  4. so are you telling me that my working our of the name was slightly off target? small dumb chickens that are on the road  Caryl, Most large companies show what they want to sell and rearly target what the retail is needing Its interesting that in a down turn, companies increase advertising and trying to sell to those that either havnt got the money or are not opening the budget books
  5. OK, I will ask some one to gawk at them soon
  6. sorry to hassle you I hope you understand the reasoning behind what Im wanting to know. It would mean that all Fundulopanchax would be lumped in together as would Nothos, Aphy, Epiplaties and South Americans In other words, in Killies there would only be possibly 5 sections instead of the 30plus that we have Which would pose problems in future searches for someone with a specie that needs preserving Killis are quite unique in that respect
  7. and I repeat Mr Wok Did you get my email asking about specie and registering? I have a several that are waiting your reply before I get someone to site them and fill the forms in

  11. I think that the danger areas are the corners to be honest. With all my tanks, the amount I have lost could be counted on one hand
  12. Mr Wok Did you get my email asking about specie and registering? I have a several that are waiting your reply before I get someone to site them and fill the forms in

  18. I have them in a tank in the lounge and you will often here them jumping... the sudden splash that interrupts a program on TV just when your not expecting it
  19. going by the date stamp on the photo, your having a late dinner
  20. bit out of focus in the head but this shows the colour in the tail
  21. they get imported from time to time The last lot that came in were nice and I bought some myself even though I already had some The males show a nice flash of red on the end of the tails To breed them, it pays to have a big mop as they are very hungry for eggs Tim Nuttal use to have a bottom mop that filled the whole base of the tank and was about 50mm thick so they had a lot of trouble finding the eggs after they had been laid. Stu use to condition the f/m and leave her with the male for only 30 minutes from memory
