  1. Thanks for the help It is the actual scrawl that I call a signature that I was after Zev in knowing my inabilities, has offered to help me. Thanks Zev
  2. I did mean adding my signature to work email and to photos I may well use on the net to do with Brendas work I have come accross one that has been copied from her site and used elsewhere
  3. I suppose your right Alan, just annoys me that someone may well get missled. I sure the guy knows it as well or why else ban me for asking a question Tempted to put one up for sale beside him with the correct details... will see what happens in the next month eh
  4. can anyone explain to me in an idiot proof way how to sign things... photos, email etc? Did I mention idiot proof?
  5. I suppose the next step is MAF ?
  6. unless its just been imported, there are none here in NZ If they have just been imported, Im yet to see them, Im guessing they have just done a search and taken a guess to make them look rearer and more valuable
  7. BEWARE there is a trade on TM that is for the above killis. They are wrongly called Misaj. This refers to the collection site and is not correct. This person appares to be either incorrect or trying to miss lead buyers. I have complained to TM so will see what they will do. I have no problem with the fish but to name it Misaj when they are not from there is not correct. I belive them to be aquarium strain. The seller has blacklisted me so he apares to have something to hide
  8. I honestly dont really notice adds much as I seem to turn off to them but must admit those kiwibank adds would stop me from ever banking with them
  9. how about a Diahatsu Move... probably under $5000 and that leaves about $15000 for a deposit on a home. 5 Years time the car will be worth say $3500 and the home will be 30% dearer so you will still have your car and will also have your money back
  10. I have serious doupts about him Im afraid. People are warm blooded creatures and as we dont have fur, we are suppost to keep warm This is best done by housing your self in air condidtioned dewlings and during cold spells (less than 10 cel) humans are not meant to venture outside Now to help him get over this dramatic experiance, I strongly suggest putting up posters of Rarotonga beaches and having a cool beer waiting
  11. either that or you will not get out alive
  12. except turnup and celery  some things never get eaten in my home
  13. I use the Glass Merchants recomendations but Warrens are similar. Without studying Warrens, I belive you may have misunderstood? Any 1200 long tank needs a minuimum thickness of 6mm in the sides to a water height of 300mm after that and untill a water height of 450mm the recomended thickness is 10mm Personally, I would never ever think of having any normal tank made from 4mm unless they are the little show tanks Also check the thickness again as you may be measuring and not including the arris which can take a mil of either side (the arris takes the sharp edge of)

    Im stoked!!

Theres plenty arround Are you a member yet?
  15. Totally agree 5 and 6mm can be used to glaze normal windows (charged at 3 or 4mm rates) but the rebates wont allow 10 mm to fit so often they can be cheaper. Not all smaller companies will stock 10mm however and large companies may well use it for shelving

    Im stoked!!

now just think how nice some Australe Chocolates will look as well  then some Striatum?
  17. the big will bully the small You need to have a trip up here at some stage P82 and Blue gardneri will grow very big... I have one here that must be 70mm long and the thickness of my thumb (and Im a fat guy with a fat thumb) Yes, a large P82 will not eat a large Australe but he will chase it remember that you are entering a addiction so if you want some display tanks, you could do a lot worst than having Ryans list in one tank, A group or Fundulopanchax in another (P82s, Garderi golds, Scheeli, Albinos) and in a third display tank, you could keep all the Nothos. You should be able to fill these from your 50 or so breeding tanks. The kids will love living in a tent as you fill their bedrooms with tanks. see told you this was an addiction
  18. no1-I am a glass merchant and have a glass company (not interested in building tanks) No2- DO NOT USE 4mm GLASS No3- Use the caculator No4- dont skimp on thickness, go thicker if you can No5- LowIon glass when viewing through will make next to no difference becasue water is also coloured Glass thicknesses that are availiable here in NZ are 2,3,4,5,6,8,10,12,15 and 19mm glass. Do not use laminated glass as its only as strong as its thinnest sheet (3mm)

    Im stoked!!

    Isnt it 10 to register?
  20. may be that the age is in the wild? I know with Brendas doves and when I had raceing pigeons, wild pigeons would normally last for only 2 years at best but those in captivity could last for 20 years I suppose good tucker and healthy condidtions? My oldest would be over 2 years at least Ryan
  21. I have several that are 3 years and still going strong
  22. Golden wonders live about the same length of time as 95% of other Killis Even the annuals can live for quite some time with a N. Korthausae dieing yesterday at the age of 20 months.... this was an annual fish so expected to live a lot less. Most mop spawners (non annuals) will live the same lenght of time as other tropical fish of a similar size
  23. fundulopanchaxGardneri or Nigeranus thats say Albinos, P82, Blues, Golds, Scheeli, Next would be Aphysoemion Australe chocolate or Gold or Striatum
  24. almost definately not toughened and the norm would be either 4 or 5mm No problem with using 5mm though but dont go too big in size
  25. one of the problems is that if you see and look too closely at things like that, your forever trying to correct the Ph If your talking about your killis, do water changes and if they stop laying, check the ph and it will probably need raising. Other that that, leave em alone
