  1. Is a protein skimmer required on a soft coral only tank - no fish? And is 35cm wide enough?

  6. Yup Thens the ones that I got two of HFF has them for $52? (Approx.) And the ones for 120 from HFF were about 17-20cm long
  7. I'd agree with the rainbow fish, clowns can get a little bit hidey at times
  8. Basically, to be used as feeder fish for my other fishies. Sooo. What i'm thinking about is using a 2foot tank, with a mesh screen at the bottom, holding up two sheets of glass or perspex, and then divided so that I can get a net into the bottom of the tank to scoop out the babies. Any ideas about how well this will / won't work?

  14. Gladwrap! Once you have setup your tank, and its running, use gladwrap to go under the lids, as close to the glass as possible. Leave out one pane of glass to allow feeding etc.
  15. Some plants are ok if they are grown submerged as opposed to hydroponically. IE, "beetroot" (no idea on what its really called...) is not an aquatic plant, but it seems to be growing fairly well. A LOT of roots, and new growth.

  17. Tiger barbs are fine if you get 5+ and don't have any long finned fishies.
