  4. i got a better idea  , go to animates
  5. But i thought they were neons because that is what they told me
  6. I was in animates today and there was one girl who didn't look like she new what she was talking about down by the fish. so i thought i would ask her which tank the neons were in so she said theis tank here and pointed to the cardinals so i asked how much they were and she said $3.50each. i thought to myself i wont say anything as i asked for her to show me where they were and it was not my problem that she did not know what she was doing. So i said i would take 6 and get 3 free after about 20 minutes of waiting for her to catch them i finally paid for my "neons" and left  so i think that they should get some staff who know a bit about fish and other pets or else they are going to loose alot of money. :-?

  10. Would it be a good idea to put lots of brine shrimp in the fry tanks before i go or not.
  11. Next month i am going up to blenhim and wont be able to feed my fish i am leaving on the 15th in the morning and going to be home on the 19th in the evening. 14. Do you feed your fish Frozen Bloodworms?? As that looks like bloodworms some get sucked up in the filter before the fish are able to eat them. and just keep growing.
  15. Yep thats right, not enough air in the tank.
  16. hi alan thanks for the info not enough room to go 2feet wide but i might try 1 1/2 feet tho the cichlid tank in the middle is alot wider than in the diagram.
  17. i just left them together and every 3 or 4 weeks i had like 100 fry, but when i was in England when i got back i found out my male killed my female and there was about 300 young in the tank
  18. Well i have an old post where i said about the plan for a new fish room. well now that the room is clear and ready to start lining I came across a few problems with the first plans    the room is 3.6 x 3.6m As im using 6inch polystyrene on the walls and ceiling that only give me a room which is 3.3 x 3.3m so now these plans SHOULD fit in this size  :-? . i am now going to have 2 long tanks under the breeding stands on each side of the room for water changes, instead of two blue barrels. And a 40mm pipe around the bottom of the tanks for old water which will go outside and doum the drain. so tell me what you think of my plans here is a new google sketch up from the top view only (it takes too long to do more views) NOT TO SCALE
  19. 90% are fertilised. They stay with them for between 24-30 hours and then the eggs disappear. i think they are eating them but they might not be :-?
