  1. Yes you can use them, I have used them for a small planted. What I found is that they heat up alot and made the hood get very hot and I could have ditched the heater in the tank because of this. I would play with them and test, I used "cool white" lights, got them from m10 the budget ones.
  2. I know that cats can be a problem, especially wild one. I do alot of shooting, mostly rabbits and stuff like that and I always come across wild cats. Tehre are so many up in the hills of central it is not funny. I used to not shoot them till I came across so many that were skinny and diseased. I talked to someone at DOC and they said they were a pest. So now I treat the wild ones as pest as well and keep the two that i have in at night. My two cats love the attention they get at night, pats and cuddles and never complain about it. I think people should be more resposible with there cats like they have to be with there dogs.
  3. They are just knock off's, of other brands. I would not take any notice of the "best in Europe" thing as if you search them on google you come up with nothing. They are like the Jeabo filters, I have one that is a knock off of an Ehiem (sp) works a charm but doesn't cost the earth. Might break futher down the line but that is why I have a back up on hand always. I went for a cheap one that has push to prime, I got sick of the AquaOnes and having to nearly spill half the tank to get it going
  4. Isn't photoshop fantastic! Look where the glue join is in the back of the picture, it doesn't match where the join should be in the back of the tank
