  1. I think I have a co2 test kit. I will have a look for you Joe. Another cheaper way might be to look at pH change. Ie what is pH of water prior to C02 then after 5 10 15 30 60 mins and then after 24 hours. pH can then tell you amount of saturated C02? Just a thought Navarre
  2. Send him to me and I will hibernate him for you lol Nav
  3. I used to add multivites and carrot and broccoli (not spinch tho) and heaps of garlic also why grate when it is a paste free flow it in small lumps or ice cubes then just pop one in the tank easy as
  4. count how many drops of blue circle make up a ml and then work that out from there 20 drops per ml is what we use at work
  5. have to agree with bdspider and size depends on type of fish as does temp and filter type but simple air driven sponge filter works best for me HTH Navarre
  6. Not sure if this works in marine and I am sure some one can tell you but I run a layer of filter wool or fine dacron on top of the green matting to help collect particulate in the water prior to it hitting the wet/dry area and when I do a water change I just replace it or wash it out. Not sure if it will help in marine set ups tho HTH Nav

  9. Next step from blennies and rock hoppers i guess. You know when you are diving and the little blighters seem to sit on their pectoral fins and tell you to sod off Might do lermentov on Queens Birthday. Wicked dive and would have got some wicked stuff off of ship if it wasnt illegal. I like swimming the corridors cause you always find something new and the rudders always put that ol girl in perspective. I am 6 2 and with arms out stretched and fin tips pointed they are taller and wider than me. Doubt I will see any red hand fish there tho

  15. I would have to agree If you get "baby" discus then put them in a bare bottom tank and feed and water change the heck out of them. Once at size you can add to yor display tank when you dont need to feed or water change quite so much. Navarre

    D Filamentosa

Many thanks Have asked for them to come back in next shipment so will cross fingers. My aim is to be able to breed them and make them readily available as they are stunning little fish. It is a little disapointing that after spending $500 to establish the colony here that I havent been able to breed them in the last year. Then thats fish keeping. LMAO
  21. I am down to a few remaining examples of these great little fish. Does anyone else have any that they would care to see in a breeding program? Happy to discuss? Navarre

    D Filamentosa

Well the end is near as I lost my remaining pair of Filamentosa this weekend. If anyone has any of these guys I have a lone fish looking for a home. Or if anyone who has any wishes to part with some then I am happy to try to get them spawning. Very disapointed as I think mine were the only ones here. Happy to hear from anyone with some out there.
