I loved my UG filter, I don't understand all the hate! My first tank, a 90l ran on on. Way less hassle than a canister. And yes, it had lots of plants and they grew fine. (Though I potted the bigger ones like the sword anyway)

Chances are they'll just climb out and 'run' away after you've gotten them.

Maybe you should do all the research before you decide to get one? I think you'll find the setup quite expensive. And if you don't setup properly, it will eventually mean death for your new friend.

Last time I did a jigsaw, Ratamon stole some bits and chewed the jigs off... Just as bad as cats they are.

If you're still choosing the gravel, have you seen this site? http://www.petstuff101.co.nz/index_files/aquariumsubstrates.htm They do some really nice gravels that petstores don't have + good prices. Also, the owners are lovely, they're on this site somewhere. They donated lots of samples for conference

I like 7 too. & or 4. But I think each member should be able to choose what fish they want on the header & background and Caryl will have to print off each card in a custom manner.

I like the header & layout of the words, but dislike the clip-art animals. They're all a different style so look mis-matched. Still 4 for me.

I like 4 best, it's got the nicest design and colours. 2 is ok, like the fishies.

Do you have any other cat/animal organisations in Wellington? In Christchurch we have 2, Cats Protection League and Christchurch Cat Rescue. They're great! CPL is currently doing a free neuter program and CCR often does the same, but focuses on strays and colonies. You could do some investigating, see if you have organisation that can help you, even if it's just a neuter rather than taking him away. At least that would help with his aggression.

As those who attended conference will know, CTT was doing a bit of fund-raising for Turtles: Rescue and Rehoming which is our club member, Donna Moot's rescue. We were selling raffle tickets (Thanks to John Eastwood who was a fantastic ticket seller ) and were able to raise a significant amount for Donna and her turtles. Thank-you to all the delegates and observers that attended conference and were able to make this happen, the funds will be a huge help for Donna, who pays for lighting, housing, vet care, food etc for (currently) 47 turtles, without any outside financial help. yeah, you under 18s should be extra careful with who you trade with... If you ever get into a big dispute and needed to go to court, I suspect you'd have no chance 'cos you're not meant to be using the site to begin with. I'm not being mean, just pointing it out! :oops:
