yes, that was interesting to read. Most of my others are blotchy.
Heres a couple more pics of them. The first is the same female.
the bottom pic is one of the less bristled males in the tank. Theres another to the right of the pic. I think there are 4 males and 1 female but never see the 5 at the same time.
I got it with a bulk lot of fish and the person selling them (not the owner) said they thought it was a different type. It certainly looks similar to my bns but not the same. I know bn vary in looks so thought I would ask.
Thanks
you might have to give the puppy water through a syringe or similar - not drinking is going to make it worse. it does need to flush it out whatever it is.
I would have thought that if it was plastic causing the problem the vet would have checked.
Copper Sulfate and Cobalt Sulfate are the two that you should worry about the most. Copper and cobalt are both heavy metals and will poison the puppy. Give it some milk first and if that doesn't work get some EDTA from your vet and give it that.
I use bleach to clean everything, then rinse it well , put it in the sun (if any) and then put it back in the tank. No probs. The sun will remove every last little bit but a good rinsing will work as well. I can sometimes still smell it.
Thinking seriously about getting some killies (and joining the club).
Appreciate some links to good, in depth articles on the keeping of them - not the breeding at this stage - that will come later for sure  Has anyone on here written any?
Hi, nice pics. Love the angel and is that a whiptail?
In the second one that pinky plant - what is it and also is that a big tiger lotus you have in one of the other pictures?
I got this too. I thought they had been hacked as wouldn't imagine that they would do this. Too much damage to their business. Every dealing I have had has been great and I will continue to trade with them.
S--t happens!
The difference between the two is that the front bit of the top fin will stick up higher than the rest on the male - as in Dixons 2nd pic. With females it stays pretty much level. Yes the females tummy does colour up at breeding time.
I would say 'female'.
