I dont have any Panduros yet, but I feed my Apistos, daphnia, blood worms, grindel worms, Tetra colour bits. During summer they get mossie larvae.
Not sure what is causing the problems with yours. anything cahnged recently? How long you had them?
Yes they are bigger emersed. Also look totally different. all the plants in that submersed setup are also in the emersed(somewhere, as they look totally different)
They tend to melt if submersed completly straight away.
If it does melt, so long as roots have not been damaged or disturbed, it will grow back in submersed form.
Its just patience, and belief that its not dead.
Yes you can do that , but the odds are against you.
Much faster to find someone who is willing to send you some. Summertime is better time to think about getting a good culture going.
I was spraying water each night using a trigger sray bottle.
Stopped doing it as it didnt seem to change anything.
Its very humid in there as it has the lid on.
Man they are slow growing plants. Over six months for this much.
Well worth it though.
Best bet is go for a drive during the summer months and chck out water troughs etc.
The population drops right off during the cooler months. Much easier to find in summer.
Youll know if a trough has themm during summer. The water has a pinkish tinge and you can hardly miss them as there is usually millions per trough.During winter you may have to use a fine net and move it up and down the water colomn and near sides. They tend to rest on bottom or sides when not feeding.

Children , Funstuff.
No way, never. Children should never be allowed to have fun. LOL Jokes
I went to ChCh as a child and all I remember is being made to walk around everywher. I was tired and bored.Ive never been back since, so unfortunatley I dont have good memories of CHCH.
One day I going to go back down there as an adult and actually do stuff I enjoy.
Sorry , not very helpful am I?
Mods please move this to correct area, as I was unsure where to post this.
Hi all.
I am wanting to contact Animates head office, but I cant seem to find a contact. I tried their website but that only lists phone numbers for each store.
If someone could help out it would be very much appreciated.
Thanks
The average tourist over there never see's a single dangerous animal except at zoos and wildlife parks.
Unless you go looking, most is not easy to find.
The horrible accent is everywhere though
Tell you what, Ill mop the floors
Ill drive to Phoenix's and you can fly us both up
Two working we can get it done in one day, allowing us to go to fish shops the second day
Warm white is not the right type of tube for growing plants. Go for more of the cool white or daylight bulbs.
You can buy the special ones from LFS but they are about 5 times the price of the ones from a DIY store,
Look for 6500k tubes AKA 865

Ok so a two foot tank equates to approx 15 gallons, but has anyone here successfully kept them in such a small tank?
Im not looking for a huge fancy African biotope setup, more just these fish. WetPets in Palmy has some in a display tank and they always have young being herded around the tank. I look at them everytime I go in and wish I had some myself.
I think they are pretty little fish.
I am wanting to setup a small African tank.I have a spare 2 footer. I know its small, but can someone tell me if I could keep a couple of Neolamprologus brichardi in it?
They really appeal to me, but as I am an avid South American fan, I dont really know too much about them.
Can someone shed some local thoughts on the keeping of them
Thanks
Sense of humour people.
Appears to be lacking these days, people take life far too seriously.
The ad has nothing to do with Chocolate.Thats the whole point of it.The only thing that relates to cadbury is the colour of the girls dress. But people remember it, and thats the whole point of advertising.
Looks very much like potamogeton crispus to me.
Its quite common in the wanganui area, so would assume it is up your way too.
Its quite fragile and breaks easily. This is how it spreads
