  10. Blackworms are magic. Mine love blackworms. I also feed Mossie larvae and bloodworms. I gave up on grindals as I lost my culture. Low PH is a must. Learn about your water parameters so you know what you are working with. Plenty of tannins and plenty of hiding places. Next biggest thing is patience. They will breed for you if conditions are good and then the task of raising fry becomes the next mission.
  11. There were a few Skylines, Cefiros and Silvias also, but I am more a fan of of the V8s. I also took an HD video of the Monaro but it was going to take over 12 hrs to upload to youtube so I didnt bother,
  12. 1968 Holden Monaro Blue Coupe Wanganui Road Rodders Club put on a Burnout comp today to compliment the street drags tomorrow. Attracted a few cars but quite a few did a no show. These two were my favourite shots. It was hard to get a good shot as the smoke blocked the view most of the time. All I can say is when death comes for me I want it to sound like that 1968 Holden Monaro Blue Coupe (winner of 2010 Powercruise Burnout comp)
  13. As P44 said, It is a cost thing. How much does the average punter want to spend on their plants? Growing submersed has increased costs for several reasons. Requires more time, More light, More space and more labour. Growing emersed is by far more cost effective. Thus meaning the retail costs are kept lower. Converting the plants to submersed is affected by several factors. Firstly the type of plant. Stem plants will convert much faster. Rosette plants rely on their roots for nutrients and they are slower growers. They need to establish their roots before they are able to grow new foliage. Light is another. The more light the more the plant can grow. Many underestimate the light requirements for growing plants. Another common factor is how the plants are planted. A lot of people take a bunch of nice plants and just ram it into the gravel and expect it to grow. Damage occurs, the plant has no nutrients and the plant is restricted from light as it is in a clump. These are just a few things.
  14. I will message you tonight Stella. I am at work at the moment. I know where to get them from too.
