  1. If you google " the age of aquariums" there is a comprehensive list of plants and fish in colour.
  2. The last ones I caught went straight into a holding tank with no probs they will take flake/frozen/granules and when I took them to Masterton I accidently left one behind in an unheated tank for three days it now swims around happily with my angels.
  3. Next Sunday I will be sitting at the lookout point on SH 1/5 on the left hand side of the road just before you see lake Taupo (if you are comeing from Hamilton/Tauranga/Auckland/Rotorua direction) untill 9.00am if you need direction. Anyone who would like to come Saturday and make a weekend of it I can offer floor space in a crappy 2 bed unit with a very warm welcome and bacon and eggs for breakfast . No charge, freindship in return is all we ask please pm if interested..
  4. Hope the pain subsides quickly

  7. If anyone is unsure of the location and needs a map they can download Tumonz live and pinpoint an area just before Waihi Road (Tokaanu) where they will see SH41 crossing over some water THIS IS IT.
  8. Just let me know if and when and I will arrange a convenient place to meet
  9. G.D. I could meet you in Taupo and take you there or alternatively you could download a map from Tumonz live. Dave there is very poor parking and nowhere to mill around at the Molly pond ,however there is a bridge just before you get there where the Tokaanu stream is where everyone could meet.(plenty of parking beside the stream).
  10. Just North of Turangi about 1k maybe 2 there is a popular picnic area right on the lakefront i'm not sure but I think there may be a toilet block also. I have a small portable BBQ if needed.

    Tank update

You could put the heater vertical instead of horizontal you would not need any more cable. (I think Caryl could be looking from a safety point of view ).
  21. If you google " bringing things into nz biosecurity new zealand " they have a list .Mosquito fish are classed as unwanted organisms but do not have the letters NPPA after the name. I don't know for sure but I think this is very relevant, there is also a contact phone no. and e-mail address.
  22. Will you guys need an impartial ref for this mud wrestling among the mollies ?
